This our medium solution BatteryBoot TM Pack for the Echo. The PowerBoot TM allows you use your Echo anywhere* with up to 14 hours of battery life. This is intended for people that like to use their Echo in the backyard, by the swimming pool or wherever they'd like. It will give you 14 hours of freedom from the cord. The PowerBoot TM battery for Echo will charge using the supplied power adapter. Your package will consist of 2 items. The PowerBoot TM Battery and the Power/Charger. Charging takes from 2 to 3 hours. Your Echo can be used while it charges. Once it is completely charged, the battery will remain in a "standby" state so it doesn't drain while plugged in. Makes your Echo truly mobile
I have had this for about a month & I love it. I take out on the patio, to family cookouts all around the house when working at home, even use it over night as an alarm clock. It takes about 2 hours to fully charge, I have run this for 12 hours and it still runs strong. I gave it 4 stars because there's no indicator for the battery's strength (a small matter since I don't party for 14 hours...getting old), but I would like to be able to use a case when I take the Echo on the go and there is no case available. Cases sold on Amazon fit for the speaker w/o the base, which adds 2 inches to the speaker. Believe me, once you put the boot on, leave it on. It is a bear to remove and put back on again. I gave my Tap to my wife because the Echo boot is perfect for how I use my speaker. Thinking about buying the Dot and getting another boot charger.

A portable Echo is great with this battery boot. . .
I purchased this boot after reading about it in a popular forum. My sister had just purchased two Echos, one for herself and one for a client. She remarked to me one day that she was considering purchasing the Tap because she wanted the Echo to be portable. After reading about this boot, I ordered two, one for her and myself.I like it, but it is really basic. I think it's costly for what it does, but it does what it says it will do. I have let the battery drain and can say that it probably gets about 16 hours of battery life. It takes about 2.5 hours to fully charge. It fits snugly onto the Echo. I carry it around without any fear it will drop off the bottom of the Echo. It is that snug. It takes quite a bit of effort to get it off. So, once you have it on, you won't have to worry about it falling off.The only problem I have with this model is that it doesn't have a battery indicator. It would be great knowing how much of a charge you have left. For example, if you ask Alexa she will tell you, one of two answers, "I don't have a battery or I don't know how to help you with that." It just depends on how you ask. :) Funny, but it makes sense. The only lights you have on this one is the indicator light on the Echo (see it in the notch), the red light (on the electric adapter that is plugged into the wall) to let you know the Echo is being charged and a green light to let you know the Echo is fully charged (See my pics below). However, if you want battery indicator lights, there are other 6 hour boots/bases that have them, but not the models from Koozie. If you should purchase the 6/7 hour boot from Koozie and want to upgrade to the 14 hour boot, all you have to do is purchase the power adapter for the 14 hour boot. You can't do the same for the 18 hour boot, it will only work if you want to upgrade from the 6/7 hour boot to the 14 hour boot.I am happy with my boot and would recommend it. It's been great having a portable Echo.
