Put in Ram 2500 crew cab way to small and not enough power did help but there are better options out there

I bought this unit from another online retailer, but as a major Amazon user (who does NOT get commissions or free products) I'm posting this as a PSA: Break this speaker in before judging it! Some speakers, especially those that that have relativily long excursion distances, do need break-in time before reaching their full potential. My SM2 took about ten hours at moderate volume to loosen up and sound good. Initially I was very underwhelmed. Now it's a fantastic addition to my system. Once in a while I turn the SM2's volume to zero, and I can't believe the difference. I suspect that most or all of these underseat subs require some break-in before they present their full capability.

I used this sub for my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. I have JL speakers and installed this sub and it added a tiny bit more thump but not a whole lot. My speakers kinda over power the sub a little bit. So if you have good speakers I recommend getting a bigger sub.
