Willie, Whalon and The Boys; Kris and Johnny Cash too. I love their music individually and as a group. Good Stuff!

These guys are great together. Recordings are both live and studio and are the best of what they did in the short time they recorded.

It took until 2016 for a good single-disc best-of collection of The Highwaymen (Johnny Cash, Willlie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and Kris Kristofferson) to be compiled and released as a companion to a massive live CD/DVD concert set. The producers picked the balance of the songs from their Columbia recordings, only taking a pair from The Road Goes On Forever which came out on another label. Frankly, I only remember hearing the classic Highwayman single on the radio. Looking back almost four decades, it seems puzzling why more wasn't asked of the principals instrumentally. You don't hear Waylon's snarling electric guitar, Willie's jazzy Trgger, or Johnny's chicka-chicka-boom. Although even KK sounds adequate and the rest are strong vocally, the result seems a bit slick. Many of the songs are very good and I'm glad to finally own a Highhwaymen CD, but that little extra that would have made them an all-time super group is missing. Four stars.

I have never been a country fan, but have always respected each of these artists. I didn’t even know they got together as a group until i saw this on amazon. It’s of those surprises that you just know is going to pay off, and it does. Excellent album.

My mother loved this, plays it everyday. Check it out online, it was an extremely nastalgic recording of the top country artists.

This CD is awesome if you like country music and Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson and a few other greats.

Absolutna klasyka, dobre wydanie

This is a genuine feel good album, even though a lot of the songs are about death! No egos, just great solos & blends, & good guitar. You don't have to be a fan of country music to love this album.
