Amazon makes this a review for both the SWISSINNO INSTALL KIT AND the SWISSINNO Gopher & Vole Trap PRO SuperCat – Reusable Tunnel Trap. I was struggling with moles in my yard. I was spending hundreds of dollars on mole bait only to find them pushing the bait out of the way. I tried other traps with no success. At this point I was frustrated so I decided to buy a bunch of different traps and see what happens. SWISSINNO Install Kit - I bought the install kit thinking it was the actual trap. It's not. It is an "install kit" which is basically just a cylindrical piece of plastic and a stainless steel probe. I would add that the probe is nice but completely unnecessary. You can use a stick or any piece of metal for the same purpose. I like to use a long bamboo tree support stick so I can probe while walking around. That being said, the probe is nice quality. The cylindrical plastic tube is useful for getting a perfect size hole for the PRO trap and also works pretty well for the scissor trap. But honestly, you could do this with an equivalent size of PVC from the hardware store. Having said that, I did find the install kit to be very good quality and light enough to use. I'd give it five stars for easy of use and quality even if you don't really need it. The SWISSINNO Gopher & Vole Trap PRO Supercat - My first attempt with this trap was a failure. The moles pushed dirt into it which set it off. I pulled it up and no mole. My second attempt it caught a mole. So I would say that setting this trap correctly into an active mole tunnel is key. The second time I focused on getting a super clean install. Tried to get as little dirt back into the hole as possible. I also made sure the bottom was set into the bottom so it was below the tunnel. Then I made sure it was perfectly aligned with the tunnel. It worked better if you have a clean tunnel not a three way tunnel. The SWISSINO traps are probably the easiest traps to set. This one a small child could set in terms of how little strength it takes to pull up, lock, and arm the trap. I almost returned this trap when it caught my 3rd mole in a week (2 others using the SWISSINO scissor mole trap). So my experience is that it works when properly set. And since it is so easy to use, I would give it five stars compared to other traps. I used it for moles not voles or gophers.

You get what you pay for. The traps do not go as deep as they should. Moles triggered the trap but they did not catch the mole. I have used other similar trap, more expensive but worth the price.

i have what i assumed was a vole problem. visible tunnels indicated by lines of dead grass all over my yard. bought 2 traps plus the install kit. started off with just putting 1 trap out just to see how it works. super easy to install. located a raised dirt spot along one of the straight paths, stuck the rod, from the installation kit, in the mound and it plunged in. cut a hole with the hole cutter, from the installation kit, and installed the trap. filled in around the trap a little bit with the dirt removed with the cutter. whole process took about 30 seconds. about 2 minutes later my wife said she heard a snap in the back yard. I checked the trap, and lo-and-behold, i caught a vole. Reset the trap and left it overnight. the next day, another vole caught. reset the trap in the same location, 2 hours later, another vole. Now i am more confident in the trap, so i set the other one up in a different location, and I ordered 2 more. i think the trick is to locate the "runways". they are like highways they use to go to and from a den. they will be long paths that may zig zag around trees or other forms of cover for them. i chose a path that lead from a round spot of dead grass, all the way through my yard and into a preserve behind my house. they probably use this to leave the yard and forage for food to bring back to the den. other paths in the yard seem to come to a dead end. these are just exploratory paths that they eventually abandon. to be sure of this, step on one of the paths to collapse it in. check it the next day. if it is raised up again, then it is an active tunnel and you can set a trap anywhere along it. GET THE INSTALLATION KIT WITH IT. it is worth it and makes installing the traps super easy. then you can always buy more traps ****update: I have discovered what I am catching are actually shrews. They are using the existing vole tunnels to find food. I have been finding the traps lying over, or pushed out of the tunnels completely. I think the voles are doing this because they are a bit bigger. Trap may be too lightweight for them. Dont know how effective they are with moles/voles yet because I actually haven’t caught one. Deducting a star ****another update. Found a fresh mound. Set the trap and caught a mole. Not a vole, not a shrew. Wasn’t expecting a mole. Still catching shrews in a different part of my yard. I think they have taken up residence in abandoned tunnels. I think the trick to catching the mole was setting it deeper to make sure the entire hole was leading into the trap. Digging too shallow only uncovers part of the hole and they have to redig which pushes dirt into the trap and trips it. i have caught only 1 more shrew since catching the mole, and there has been no more activity. still have the traps set in random parts of my yard. changing back to 5 starts

Finally! A gopher and mole trap that is super easy to set without any annoying little metal baskets that need replacing. There is a lot of speculation that this trap isn’t strong enough to catch gophers but I’m here to say that I am catching big, fat gophers and moles easily. It’s so nice to use a trap over and over without continuously having to buy replacement parts. So easy to set that a child could do it. This is a winner!

I found that the product works well if you can identify an active tunnel. It took some time to recognize active tunnels however once I found a busy route the traps do their job. The kill is instant judging from the position of the mole in relation to the trap jaw.. Be patient. If you place one and a mole trips the red trigger you will have one less headache.. I seem to get more catches at night which I find interesting as the critters are essentially blind so what's the difference?

The mole, which I later captured, was too big to pass through the bottom of this trap. He pushed the device to the side as it worked its way around it. One could see the original tunnel and the detour it took to move around it. I think it would work well with trapping Voles, as they are much smaller.

I’ve got to say, this Gopher & Vole Trap works really well. Just follow the instructions carefully and it’ll take care of voles in no time. The only downside is the build quality. Since it’s made of plastic, some parts started to fade and feel brittle after a bit. One of my traps only lasted through two catches before giving out. Great performance, but durability could definitely be better.

Nie zawsze zadziała - ja mam ok. 50% skuteczności ale to wg mnie i tak super wynik.
