HEPA filter lifespan is 12 months with lots of use. The carbon filter has an optimal lifespan of just 3 months. This is only mentioned on the back of the genuine replacement filter box. Carbon filter is not sold separately so the purifier efficiency is compromised after 3 months unless you replace both filters at huge cost of £69.99 minimum (current price on Winix web site) every 3 months.

Is there a difference in the carbon filter between zero s and zero pro, or are identical? which one is better for odors and vocs?
