From Optimism to Hope

Everything Jonathan Sachs writes is amazing. Even better this "used" copy was in mint condition!

As usual, Rabbi Sachs writes in a style that all can appreciate. His current book is a collection of short talks given on a regular basis to be broadcast by the BBC, about 2 minutes long.His insight, knowledge of history, philosphy and Jewish history make this book all can appreciate in this modern world.Highly Recommended.

This book is a collection of Rabbi Sacks' insightful and inspirational editorials originally presented on his daily BBC radio program, what today would be a must read blog. It was helpful for me to distinguish optimism from hope and move towards hope. I'm sure these were relevant in 2003-4 when they originally appeared, but not nearly as relevant - and needed - as today (2022).

I very much appreciate everything, Rabbi Sir Jonathan Sacks tells or writes. For a Jew, but not only for him, it is always a pleasure, to listen to Rabbi Sacks or to read something, he wrote. But not only for Jews, but for everone who believes in God.This little book "FROM OPTIMISM TO HOPE" is especially written for people who like to read something spiritual, but do not have much time. He/she will find for nearly every day a little more than a page with uplifting thoughts on different subjects. Sometimes I read it even in bed. Who does not appreciate a little encouragement at any time of the day.Christel Michal Evenari
