Fountain pen Parker Vector., Blue

Awesome. My kid expressed an interest in fountain pens after writing excessive notes for school. She wanted to write fast so had borrowed my old fountain pen. I bought her this as it was my first ever pen 40 years ago. It’s perfect! In fact I also bought one for myself. It’s smooth as I remember and can mold to your writing slant, unlike other expensive ones, which I find more difficult to adjust to my penmanship.

Good to see these Parker fountain pens have not changed over the decades. This was my go-to writing tool during the 80's and sort of dropped off my radar over the 90's and 2000's but finally picking up a reliable, memorable and comfortable writing pen. If you've never used a fountain pen - be aware if it drops on the nib then it's done and don't store with the nib facing down especially during hot weather.

The pen writes beautifully, good ink flow nice weight, I bought it to replace a 25 year old one which looked similar to this however this one says for sale ONLY in India/Nepal...the nib doesn't even have the Parker logo it's labelled Luxor I can't help but feel cheated.

I like fountain pens and I like the slimmer ones. But most of the common pens are girthy. So I really wanted to try this one out.I got it in medium nib. The pen writes smooth. I have it filled with Majestic Blue from Diamine. I love writing with it.

Smooth writing

This is a decent entry-level fountain pen, but it is a bit finicky with respect to ink. I use three types of Noodler's bulletproof ink and the only one that works well in this pen is the "Heart of Darkness". Otherwise, I find this pen is lightweight and reasonably comfortable to use for extended periods of time. It does not come with a cartridge converter and highly recommend getting one. The converter and pen combination is convenient, doesn't leak, and very easy to use.

It is not what the description says, I should read the reviews before buy it. I am returning it. I have more Parker fountain pens, definitely this is the worst version because they say stain steel and you get plastic.

Frig.. my bad. Clearly in the small print (who reads that?) - if you read the English in that photo of all the details in several languages - this is a Med point fountain pen. The moment I used it I was like %$#!I have many Parker 'Vector' f-pens and this one I will not be able to use on some paper as the ink it dispenses with the medium point requires you to write larger, and given the sort of parchment you may be using will bleed ink. MED point fountain pens are almost borderline FINE point markers. Should NOT be allowed. LOL. Seriously - this is the only medium point I have now, and it was in (my) error. You do not want a med point and if you are using this and are thinking it is using a lot of ink - you would be right. Fine point or bust...
