So far these have worked exactly as I hoped
I’ve been using these lights for a few days and so far they’ve been amazing. They’re smaller than I thought they’d be (which is a good thing) and they’re the perfect brightness for my needs. I’m using them as closet lights as well as under cabinet lights. As a closet light, these are flawless. The second I open the closet door, the light turns on. Absolutely no issue. As for under cabinet lights, again no real issue here. The lights turn on when I come relatively close. Under my cabinets has about a 2 inch recess, and even with that recess, the motion detection works fine. My only gripe with these is that they automatically turn off after about 1 minute, even if you’re still moving around the room. For closets this is not really a problem as I’m usually in and out. For under cabinet lighting it can be a bit annoying that they turn off then back on after a minute of walking around the kitchen. I can’t speak to battery life yet since I’ve only been using them for a few days, but the fact that they charge via USB rather than needing batteries is great. Installation is simple, as long as you don’t mind permanently sticking the magnetic strip to your surface (I’m sure you can pry it off with force if needed, but you’ll need to remove the adhesive as well). All in all, I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. For the price, these have been fantastic!

Long lasting charge!
These are not super super bright but they are bright enough to light my storage room in my garage. I charged them when I got them at the beginning of February. It is July. I am in that room 2-5 times a day for a few minutes every day. They are still working well off the February charge. I am ordering more for other places I want to have motion detect instead of struggling for light switch with full arms. I have them mounted magnetically on storage shelving. Glad I got them!

2-3 months charge - then, Re-charge 💡
I purchased a set of warm rechargeable lights for a hall closet. The lights shine a warm glow, which helps seeing items in the coat closet, making it easier to make a quick choice. Because this closet is used on a daily basis, I do have to take out, plug in, and re-charge these lights every couple of months. I’d like for these lights to hold their charge longer, for at least six months, but they simply won’t. It’s important to hang on to the charging cord, labeling it, and placing it in an area where you won’t forget where you put it. Because there’s no wiring, they’re easy to install using the sticky-back metal base and the light’s magnetic bottom which holds the light in place. The stability is good only IF the light is placed in an area not to be bumped, otherwise if bumped, the magnetic light (not its base) will slide off. I realized this after purchasing more of these for under sink cabinet lighting. So, in the right place - these are good for the low cost.

I love these lights, perfect for so many things that I had to order more
These are the real deal! Seriously, where have these been all my life!!!! First I bought one pair to go in our fixed-up laundry closet under the cabinets, lighting the washer/dryer controls. The light comes on when I open the bifold doors, goes off on its own, hallelujah! The installation is so easy, either with a metallic surface or with the metal strips that you can attach with adhesive strips. Doesn't get any easier. Since they were so bright I figured only one was needed there for the laundry, and I took the 2nd one to a dark bedroom closet. The top shelf there is metal so the light attached to the underside of the shelf lickety-split. Now when I open the closet door, the motion is enough that the light comes on so I can see what I'm looking for. I was so happy with them that I got another pair (so far), and now my bathroom linen closet with all its toiletries is well-lit, as is my coat-closet near the front door. I can think of so many more uses around the house that I'm probably going to get more .. one under the kitchen sink would be nice, and there are more bedroom closets. :-) No complaints whatsoever so far, the light is bright, and the charge seems to last long time as I haven't had to recharge yet. But whenever one of them does start to run down, it's going to be so easy to just pull it down (since it's magnetically attached) and plug it in for a while, then slap it back up there. Heck, I might even keep a spare one of these lights in a drawer, fully-charged at all times, to use as a swap-in, or for random ad-hoc lighting needs. I'm picky and hard to please, but seriously, this is one of those few Amazon products that I can't help but rave about. I like them that much. Seriously, I'm not kidding ... they're really good.

Updated review!!! READ THIS FIRST!! Good value for the money
***Updated review: After a few weeks, I began to have problems. One light wouldn't hold a charge more than 1-2 days. The other light wouldn't recognize when it was charging and wouldn't charge at all. When I called the LePotec company, they NEVER answer the phone. This is the exact message you get when you call: "It is not CONVENIENT for us to answer the phone at this time..." and then, they direct you to send an email which they say they'll answer within 48 hours. I have never heard such a ludicrous message. I am a customer-not an inconvenience! I did send an email with all of the information they asked for. I went above and beyond in my explanation of what was happening to their product. The answer I received was basically a blame on me that I didn't charge it correctly and I didn't know what I was doing. The best part? They asked for the order number. That was included in the second sentence!! They clearly didn't even read my email. I will never buy any products from this company again. I wanted under the cabinet lighting that was motion activated and also easy to recharge. These are it. They are on the 2 cabinets next to my stove. Instead of running the under the microwave light at night, (those replacement bulbs are expensive!!) we have these when we come into the kitchen at night. They have 3 settings- always on, off and the motion sensor. We keep it on the motion sensor. So far, I've had to recharge them twice. They take a standard C USB, which it comes with each unit. They can be mounted with small screws (they come with) or with strong adhesive (also in the box). We opted for the adhesive to see if it would hold. So far, so good. The lights aren't heavy. I really like them a lot. And, they're guaranteed for one year.

Never thought i needed it till now
I never thought I needed these, but now I use them for everything, walkways, closets, or any dark areas that just need a little extra light. The magnetic strip is absolutely perfect for snapping them on and off easily. My only minor complaint is that I have to charge them almost every day, but they are so useful that it’s totally worth the hassle.

Great product *in theory*, but didn't work properly for long. Seller DID send replacements though.
UPDATE: I saw other commenters mentioning a 2-year manufacturer's warranty on these lights. I went to Leoptec's website to inquire, and AFTER asking for order details via email, they told me I'd have to request after-sales services from the Amazon seller, not the manufacturer. So I sent Tocta-US (the seller I bought from) an inquiry through Amazon. They asked what the defects were, I explained them, and they sent me replacement lights. So good on them for that, and I'll revise my rating up to 3 stars, because the product shouldn't have had that problem to start with, but the seller provided great service to fix (replace) them. My question now is: How long will the replacements last? We'll see. Original review describing the product defect is below. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This product was the perfect solution for my kitchen lighting problem, and upon receiving and installing my first set, I immediately ordered more. But the victory didn't last long. I have 16 of these, and half of them are currently useless. The problem is that at some point, the lights start flickering on and off, even when the switch in the OFF position (as opposed to the G/motion sensor position), and then later on down the line, they just stay on indefinitely until they're out of battery. You can charge them up again, IF you can get them to stay off long enough to charge (by messing with the switch a bit you can sometimes find a PERFECT position where the light will stay off), but it seems like once they start flickering, they'll eventually just get to the point where they stay on forever regardless of which position the switch is in. So it feels like the switches are bad, but I don't know enough about electronics to diagnose it definitively as such. I took one of the lights apart to see if there was anything that seemed wonky (messed up solder, wires touching each other, etc) that could be causing the lights to stay illuminated even when the switch is set to G or OFF, but I couldn't find anything. What I *do* know is that eight of my sixteen lights are essentially useless at this point. At first it was just one of them behaving this way, then another, and now half of them are either fully stuck ON permanently, or getting close to that. Which is such a shame because this product was EXACTLY what I was looking for when it works correctly. Very bright, but not harsh, light. Sure, the charge only lasts for about 6-8 hours, and the light does get dimmer over the course of that time, but I don't mind charging them daily for use while cooking at night. I can't speak to the adhesive, because I attached the magnetic strips to the underside of my cabinet with Command strips instead, although the magnetic strip DID have a thin plastic layer that you need to peel off first, as some people have noted. (Actually, the most recent set I ordered had two small magnetic attachments for the underside of the cabinet as opposed to one long magnet strip.) The motion sensing only works in the dark, and some have complained that it's too sensitive, but if you cover part of the motion detector with tape, you can kinda "tune" it to be less sensitive to your tastes. I really didn't care about that feature anyway, and in light of the issue (presumably with the switch), I kinda wish they made one with just a simply push-button ON/OFF and no motion detection at all, but if that's a product that exists in this form factor, I haven't found it yet. Anyway, a real shame. I can't really recommend the product when 50% of the ones I purchased are malfunctioning a year later. I still use the eight that work properly, and still like them. The only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is that the product was a great value - when it worked - and half of mine still do, but I assume they eventually break as well.

Bright and works great
I bought these for my dad when he needed some light to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. But he said they were just too bright. So I brought them home and they sat for months. I finally decided to charge one of them and install it under the cabinet above my kitchen sink. Love it!!!! Pointing down to the sink it's not as bright as having it on the wall pointing straight at you. Charges quickly and lasts about a month or so. In the middle of the night when I need to get water it's perfect and turns itself off after I walk away. I'm trying to figure out where to put the other one! Technically I could charge the second one and just keep switching them out as one is charging but they charge kinda fast. Just install the holding brackets, put the light in and the light easily stays put. They're magnetic so I don't have to see where it needs to go I just feel where the brackets are and it "snaps" right onto the brackets. Maybe I'll buy a second set to put up for power outages. UPDATE: They seem to last about 9 days. I alternate them so it's no big deal to switch them out. I also bought the white ones and those are super bright!

In high demand
Oh my gosh, I just LOVE these 54-LED Motion Sensor Cabinet Lights—they’re absolutely the BEST thing to happen to my laundry room since fabric softener! I’ve got them installed under my counters and at the footplates of my cabinets, and let me tell you, they’ve transformed my laundry dungeon into a fancy, luxurious spa for socks and detergent. The motion sensors are like magic—wave your hand, and bam, instant glow! They’re wireless, USB-rechargeable, and super bright, making it easy to find that missing sock or spot stains in style. My laundry room feels like a five-star hotel now, and I’m living for it. The only hiccup? My kids are straight-up thieves! They keep “borrowing” the lights I placed at the cabinet footplates—apparently, they make the best nightlights for midnight snack raids or fort-building. I’ve caught them giggling under the covers with my fancy lights more times than I can count, and now I’m down to half my stash. But honestly, I can’t even stay mad because these lights are so amazing, I just ordered more to replace the stolen ones. Seriously, these lights are a game-changer—bright, sleek, and totally luxurious. My laundry room’s never looked—or felt—fancier, and I’m obsessed. Five stars, minus a tiny deduction for kid-related light-napping, but otherwise, they’re perfection!
