Helpful at the beginning of the year
My son used this book to help him in the beginning of the school year, but says as they progressed into the school year further, they passed up what this book offered. My thought is this book would help for a regular physics class, not AP Physics. I am happy to pass it down to my daughter next year. Happy to get an additional use from it.

Good!
It arrived on time and in good condition. I will use this in my teaching, problems in this book are easy to solve and useful for review.

Stay away from this error-ridden book.
Errors galore! Didn't even make it past page six before encountering a glaring and obvious error. The SI in SI units does not stand for 'Standard International' as mentioned in the book, it is taken from the French Le Système international d'unités. Ok, ok...maybe that's a small nit to pick, but in a chapter devoted largely to precision and accuracy, I found it annoying. Make it all the way to page ten and spot the second glaring error in which 15.5 minutes is purportedly equal to 1,110 seconds. Multiplication ain't what it used to be. Ok, ok...typo. Got it. Moving on to exercise 2.1, problem #2 on page 15 where we spot our third error. 3.4+13.2+123.25 is not equal to 139.25 as asserted in the answer key. One chapter...(at least) three significant errors. How can a book by a physics teacher, edited by McGraw-Hill be this unbelievably bad? Furthermore, how is anyone supposed to trust you to teach through the quantum theory of light and nuclear physics if you can't add or multiply? Will be returning.
