Ya gits what ya pays for
I bought this bulb for my Flowtron zapper after the original bulb lasted almost 3 years. And it fit and worked well. Because I live in southwest Pennsylvania in the middle of a forest with a pond a few steps from my home, the zapper really gets a workout. Still, it's only plugged in during the four warmest months of summer and it's on a dusk-to-dawn photovoltaic timer. I replaced the original bulb towards the end of July last year and here it is at the end of July of the very next year and this new one has bit the dust. Although it only lasted a third of the time of the original bulb, I remember reading in the manual that the bulb should be replaced yearly. So, if you want to follow the directions and a year's usage is good enough, this is the bulb for you.

Bulb for a great bug zapper.
I haven't had to use it yet. I ordered it when the bulb in the Flowtron zapper looked like it had blown. I didn't realize when they get over worked the bulb may act kinda weird. It has done it twice. I unplugged it the first time and didn't have the new replacement one in yet and cleaned it really well. I took the bulb out, used a leaf blower to get rid of all the big bugs, cleaned the bulb. I was curious, so I put the bulb back in and plugged it in. Worked like new. This has happened twice and did the same thing the second time. It's good to know we have a back-up bulb just in case.
