Great for spicy soups
Bought these to pop into soups and chili. Ended up using half the bag to make an infused oil. Yes, it's awesome in chili/spaghetti sauce, but a very little goes a long way. Very little. And make sure to use gloves when handling, these will burn your skin. If you use your fingers, wash your hands right away so you don't accidentally get any of the residual on or close to your eyes. I didn't find the smell to be terrible, but the minute I opened the bag, the spice hit me right in the nasal membranes and I spent a half hour sneezing. These seem to be fresh dried peppers.

Super spicy!
I fell in love with ghost peppers after picking up some a Joe's trading place. But they ran out so I came to the river and found these ghost peppers. These are hotter than the trader's. The spicier the better. I remove the seeds, not because the seeds make the pepper spicy. That's an myth. Seeds have a bitter taste and take up room where the pepper should be. I chop the peppers up and sprinkle them liberally on almost everything. Sometimes I sprinkle too much and pay for it later. But that doesn't stop me. There are 25 peppers in the bag. The picture shows more. Buy the 3 oz container from the same seller. It's only a couple more bucks and comes with a lot more.

Delicious!
These suckers are spicy on their own, so don't eat it like that.=! Add one(or half), or even 2 to a whole plate of food and enjoy! Cut it up in to pieces first or do as I did after the first 5 and grind it in to a powder. You're likely buying these because they're spicy, but they also have a wonderful smokey flavor which I've always enjoyed from dried ghost peppers. You really get a lot for your money and they're just as good as any other brand. I like to make a giant bowl of stir fry and add 2(or 2 1/2) chopped to a stir fry. It's great! Just know what you're getting in to, spicy wise haha. Even with 2 now I rarely break a sweat anymore, but that's how spice tolerance works!

These are not advertised as smoked but they have a smoky aroma
I ordered these to make ghost pepper simple syrup to make Ghost Margaritas because Ghost Tequila has gotten too big for its britches and thinks too much of itself. To pay $76 for 1.75 liters of Ghost Tequila pushed me to look for an alternative. These are definitely spicy but the smoky flavor is not what I'm looking for. If I had an inking these were smoked, I would not have spent $14+ for 25 peppers. I have since bought 3 bhut jolokia pepper plants and will grow my own in my tomato and jalapeno pepper garden. I won't buy anymore of these.

Our
Wasn't sure about buying dried Ghost Peppers, boy was I wrong. These peppers once hydrated are great. I make homemade salsa (that's one of my salsa parties in the picture). I wasn't sure how folks would find the Ghost Peppers but they love it. I label it, "Our Ghostly Salsa". Are they hot, oh yeah. The price is just right. You can't say too much about their freshness but it is obvious they have not been sitting somewhere for several years, so I guess you can say freshness is really good. Easy to cook with (use gloves) and if you have sensitive sinuses wear a paper mask. The smell can be rather intense. Give them a shot if you want to make your own recipe that calls for them, or just try them in something that you think will benefit from some heat, well more than "some". lol Enjoy
