So ... this does what it's supposed to do.It holds your mouth open when you would otherwise close your mouth.I'm sure all the dental enthusiasts who buy this on Amazon will get many hours of learning and instruction out of this.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Not only did it not open all the way (on the side where the leavers are weirdly) but the springs are not good at all.You have to literally force squeeze the mechanism to open smoothly at all. So if you're into shattering teeth, this is for you.Buy a better quality item.Also: You have to pay for the return. So if you read the above review and still make a bad choice, it's going to cost you half what you would be refunded.

WOW ! This is really DANGEROUS, There is NO "cushioning" for your teeth. In the photo it looks like there is plastic tubing on the steel to protect your teeth. NO,it's steel touching your teeth. Not a good thing.It comes with NO instructions and 6" is far to big for anyone but a horse.If you must buy this tooth breaker be sure to buy the 4" size, I'm surprised Amazon would sell this.

I’ve experimented with a couple of these and this is the first one I’ve found that can’t be simply pushed out with your tongue.

This is a simple tool that stretches the mouth open and keeps it there for your partner to take advantage of.

Keeps his mouth wide open for what ever I insert.
