Philips – LED Spot Light Bulb 50 W, GU5.3, 36 Degrees Opening, Warm White, Non-Dimmable

I used these to replace two 20 watt halogen MR16 downlights in my bathroom. Benefits have been very good: 1. Bathroom light level looks and feels 2-3x brighter than before 2. Light comes on and off instantly. The old halogen bulbs would have a short dim fade on and off. 3. Electricity use has more than halved from 40w to 14w

These Philips LED spotlight bulbs deliver excellent light output—bright, clear, and focused exactly where you need it. They’re also economical, using far less power than traditional bulbs while still lighting up the room nicely. After plenty of use, they’re lasting really well, showing no signs of dimming or failure. When you inspect the bulb itself, it’s clear it’s well made with attention to detail and quality—not a cheap knockoff. You can tell Philips put care into the design and manufacturing. If you want a reliable spotlight bulb that balances performance and efficiency, these are a solid bet.

I Like these - good colour and brightness. However I have just replaced one of 15 as it started flickering. Tested it in another supply to confirm. However I don't know if the power supply caused it to fail in the first place as the replacement bulb works with the original transformer/power supply. Supposed to work for years, but one didn't.

Works perfectly for my needs

Perfect replacement for halogen bulbs. Even though it is running off an old style transformer instead of modern dc power supply, it does not flicker and is brighter than cheaper LED versions. Would recommend.

Disappointed as bulb doesn't work

I have bought Philips before so I knew I was getting a good quality led.

Purchased this bulb for my daughter’s dining room ceiling as the fitted spotlight bulb was not bright enough. This made such a difference giving a brighter and a good coverage of light.

J'ai remplacé toutes les vieilles ampoules halogènes de mon salon par ces LED et la différence est flagrante. ​Économie : Passer de 60W à moins de 10W pour la même luminosité, c'est parfait pour la facture d'électricité. ​Allumage : C'est instantané ! Pas besoin d'attendre que l'ampoule "chauffe" pour avoir la pleine puissance. ​Couleur : J'ai pris le modèle "Blanc Chaud" et le rendu est très naturel, pas du tout blafard ou bleuté comme les premières LED d'autrefois. ​Très satisfait de cet achat, à voir maintenant si elles tiennent les milliers d'heures promises !

Im Rahmen des Ersatzes unsere Lichtquellen im Haus durch sparsamere Varianten war eine Spotleiste vom schwedischen Möbelhaus übrig. Hier arbeiteten 4x 20W Halogenlampen des Typs MR16/12V gemäß Typenschild, mit Sockel GU5.3, also Stifte zum Stecken, nicht Bajonett-Pilze. Der verwendete "Transformator" ist ein so genannter "elektronischer Transformator" vom Typ SET105CS, Spezifikation 11,5V Ausgangsspannung und Leistungs max. 105W und für Lampen zwischen 35 und 105W. Letztere Angabe hielt ich für fraglich bzgl. der Verwendung von 4x 7W LED-Spots, da Summe lediglich 28W. Es gibt elektronische Vorschaltgeräte, die eine Mindestlast benötigen, um sauber arbeiten zu können. Dennoch bestellte ich auf Verdacht diese Philips-LED-Spots. Speziell diese, weil sie mit "ersetzt 50W-Lampe" hoffentlich deutlich heller sein würden als die doch recht funzeligen 20W Halogen. Wir haben eine recht dunkle Einrichtung, schwarzen Teppich, Holzmöbel, dunkelgraues Sofa, da waren die 4x 20W zu dunkel. Gestern kamen die Philips-Spots hier an, gleich montiert und getestet: - Funktionieren perfekt, der "elektronische Transformator" arbeitet korrekt - Die Lampen sind wirklich SEHR hell, gefühlt Faktor 3 zu vorher - Die Lichtfarbe im Raum ist nun viel natürlicher, offenbar ist das Warmweiss dieser Lampen "kühler" als das der Halogen-Lampen Ich kann die Umrüstung nur empfehlen!
