A Visit from Saint Nicholas: Twas The Night Before Christmas With Original 1849 Illustrations

I'm not sure what editions the other reviewers were referring to but this review is related to the hard cover edition (978-1947844155). The original poem by Moore is only 500 words long... that's right, 500 WORDS. The edition this is based off, as stated in the description, is of the 1849 edition, which had about 20 'woodcut' illustrations. This is not an edition that has been updated with modern cartoonish illustrations and pictures to try to artificially bloat it into something bigger. It is basically the classic, and ONLY the classic, just the way it was. Since the original was so short, if you're looking for something more collectible, definitely get the hard cover. It feels better in the hand. Bottom line, for what this is... a straight up reproduction of the original... you can't do much better.

I don't know what I was expecting for such a low price, but not a tiny paper back. I wanted to save it so it could be passed on. I guess you get what you pay for. I like the look of vintage book, just wish the quality of the little book was better. Story itself is old time original. May look for a different version.

Should have listened to other reviewers. This print quality is terrible. It looks like it was made on a home printer. Paper is thin. It’s too bad; the illustrations are neat. Wish someone would publish the same thing but nicer! I returned it.

Very classic. Using this for a nice Christmas gift for my dad who reads this every Christmas Eve to all the grandkids.

Do not buy this!! I could have made a better book off my printer. Just terrible quality and awful content. Not worth a quarter.

Very small and not professional looking at all

This is a great book but unfortunately most of the pages were torn on the bottom. The last few were stuck together.Loved the illustrations.
