Well made and lives up to the hype
I have heard about how often this style of hose fails. Reading the reviews I thought I would give it a shot. I use a hose to fill our pool and it is always in the way and the concept really appealed to me. So far so good, no defects and works perfectly. Because I fill the pool, I don't just stand there with a hose in my hand. When the water flows the hose shrinks to its "at rest" size and didn't go all the way to the pool. The cure was simple; I just tied it into a knot on the hand rail. The water flows perfectly and the hose has no sign of wear from where I tie it into the knot. I would caution if you need a hose where the water flows unrestricted you may want to buy a longer hose or have some way to secure it to the delivery point.

Worst one yet
I've been using expandable hoses since they became available. They generally only last two years or less, but they're so convenient, I don't mind. This one was advertised as extra strong, so I thought I would give it a try. It last a couple of months and maybe four very light uses before it burst. Worst one yet. It LOOKS sturdier, but it isn't. What a piece of junk!

hose length when in use is like 15', NOT 25'
My hose at the very most expanded to only 15 feet or so, NOT 25' (unless you want to pull it with a truck everytime you use it and risk ripping the hose connector off), so for what i needed it (car wash, pool refill) it only works to wash the car , and thank god the car parks next to a water connector, but the pool seats 20' away, so now i have to purchase a second hose to extend it or get a longer hose, material seems strong and the fact that it contracts when you shut the water off is a plus, but the REAL lenght when in use is less than 20' for sure in my case.I got a response from the manufacturer saying basically that the hose will be fully extended when it is wrinkle-free, ok so mine fully extended is NOT wrinkle free BUT still wont reach not even 20' with full water pressure and everything, so this item stated length when in operation is not real in my case, that is why i am giving it 2 stars.

Almost Ideal
Purchased two 25 foot hoses, and found them more sturdy and better designed than other hoses of this type. But---they still seem to have a weakness which I've noticed in other brands, and which may be a generic one: one of the hoses leaks at the juncture between the hose's plastic sleeve and the spigot connector. This area apparently has to seal, but also retain some flexibility, (to allow the hose to swell).....which I guess is a difficult combination to achieve.

Hard to believe a hose is this well made, but it is.
This is a great hose. Neither I or any of my friends have had good luck with expandable hoses in the past. This has the heaviest fittings I have ever seen on any garden hose, plus a solid shutoff valve ob the male end. I do have one regret though, I should have gotten a 50 ft one instead! Well that's my own fault for not wanting to spend too much in case the hose was of a lesser quality than it is. I will definitely be purchasing another couple of these in the future.

Wanted a short expandable hose for patio flowers, but ...
Wanted a short expandable hose for patio flowers, but I needed more than 10 feet of hose. At the very most hose expanded to 12 feet.. I contacted the company and their answer was to keep pulling and pulling. Well I did try several times and still no luck. Needless to say I was going to move on and I did. Ordered another hose from a different supplier and it works perfectly.

Quality product
The fittings and ball valve appear to be quality brass construction. Hose worked fine. Important to note that it does not easily get to the full length unless there is plenty of pressure in the hose. Limiting flow is easy by partially opening the valve. Opening it all the way to get the most flow will not get anywhere near full length.
