Size:Twin XL Our premium vinyl encasements are constructed with a reinforced sewn in zipper that is fully sealed and encapsulated for no tear construction. Compare this with all other vinyl encasements that consist of a zipper that is either glued or heat sealed onto the vinyl which results in easy lifting and/or tearing of the zipper from the material. The reinforced seams provide up to 50% greater durability than the low performing economy branded encasements. These premium vinyl encasements have added size variance to ensure an easier fit on large oversized mattress and box springs in contrast to the routinely shortened dimensions offered by inferior economy branded encasements. The encasements are anti-bacterial treated on both sides with Ultra Fresh DM-50 to retard mildew, mold, rot, and fungi.

Creative and Nice Doggie Beds!
I had an old foam King size topper that I was ready to throw away. It dawned on me that I needed large doggie beds, So I started looking for crib size mattress covers with zippers. Found this and bought 4 of them overtime. Cut the topper into sections pulled the zipper cover over the topper and for less than $10 a piece had 4 doggie beds. I do place old quilts on top of the plastic and wash them once a week, but now we have indoor and outdoor pads for our old dogs to lay on. Nice, inexpensive and creative.

Didn't last to much beyond a year!
I bought this because my daughter had a bladder problem and she ruined a very expensive mattress that I couldn't afford to replace. This was purchased to encase the odor, not to fight bugs of any kind. It did just that but the cover cracked up and tore in the middle of the cover. It tore up just like the ones I paid only $5 for...just lasted a bit longer in doing so. Now they are charging $2 more than what I paid for the last one. I need another one as the odor problem still exists and always will as long as we keep the mattress, but I am reluctant to purchase this one again because I don't want to keep buying them over and over again.

Our cat was waking us up by clawing at the box spring cover. This put an immediate stop to that. We have a split box spring (two pieces) so it required some wrangling but came out just the right size.

You get what you pay for
I was looking for cheap box spring covers to hide the rips on the ones on our king size bed caused by a litter of foster kittens. They barely fit and in stretching one to get it on a seam split. The seams are heat sealed not sewn like the zippers which pop open and have to be unzipped and rezipped because they are so tight. If you get them have someone help you because it's not easy to hold and stretch the plastic while you zip them. If you bump them against metal frames they tear easily. I used white duct tape for repairs. I hope I don't have to replace them but, if I do I won't buy this type again.

Beware of zipper not working
The zipper immediately broken when zipped up with no access tugging or pulling being done to product. The effectiveness of the product relies 100 percent on the zipper working but because the packaging was torn when it arrived so I knew I would have a hard time returning the item plus I just figured out a way to duck tape the zipper portion to make it usable but that is not what I paid for was a defective product. Then again if you are at all familiar with the nature of the product with bed bugs the urgency for the need of this product also makes it inconvenient to return the product defective or not but I think the company could at least offer up an apology for the defect. I will say I was rather impressed with the thickness of the mattress cover I was expecting a more flimsy material but was greatly impressed especially for the price.

Save Your Money on More Expensive Casing and Get This One
Yes, all the other reviews you've read about the smell is correct. I'm a tough cookie, so the smell didn't really bother me. But for someone who has a sensitive nose, this smell will definitely get to you. Honestly, just put the cover on and leave for about an hour or so. Or perhaps spray some air freshener and let it air out, the smell will for sure go away within an hour, and you won't even smell it after you put your bed sheets on.I bought this cover because I had a bed bug scare over the summer and just wanted to be super protective. Putting these covers are easy...IF YOU HAVE 2 PEOPLE! Please don't do this by yourself, as you will most likely tear the material...and that will defeat the purpose. I have a full sized bed and ordered the full encasement and there was enough empty space. The box spring encasement had too much extra material left over, but I think it's fine, who cares. In summary, I think it's better to get this vinyl casing over cloth casing as other companies are selling simply because it's much easier to tear the cloth as opposed to the vinyl. It's been at least 6 months using it and no bed bugs, no problem, one happy girl.

Fits crib and daybed mattresses well.
I use these on the crib mattresses / daybed mattresses for my great danes. I also use a heavy, but not waterproof, quilted mattress cover and fitted sheet. This brand holds up well to their size/weight (130-175 lbs) and occasional pawing to rearrange their blanket/pillows. I would recommend this product and will buy it again.
