At first I thought I'd made a mistake buying the set because the metal part was not very smooth and they were pulling at the yarn/it was difficult to slide off. However the handle is lovely so I carried on using them anyway because it stopped my hand from getting sore, and so far each hook I've used for more than an hour or so has smoothed off nicely with use. And they are a really good price for the set. As other reviewers have said, the metal part of the biggest hook sizes is quite short so it has been a challenge crocheting with the biggest size with stitches where you need more than a couple of loops on the hook (even US double crochet but particularly any puff stitches) but it can be done if you are happy to spend a bit of additional effort squishing the yarn onto the hook for longer stitches, and certainly fine for arigurumi. If I was to suggest one improvement it would be to increase the length of the metal part for the biggest couple of hooks. I would give 4.5 out of 5 if this was possible, but for this price, definitely worth the initial minor irritation.

Liegt super in der Hand und sehr angenehm beim Häkeln. Sie ist nicht zu leicht aber auch nicht zu schwer! Selbst nach ein paar Stunden Häkeln hatte ich keine Probleme in den Fingern und Handgelenk. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

I had ordered a few Clover hooks and then I ordered this set. I have not actually used either but on careful comparison, they seem identical. Just the wide part of the handle is slightly different. The softness and feel of the handle is the same. The smoothness of the metal hook is slightly less on this needle and it seems just a bit bigger although they are the same size. Overall, considering 1 Clover hook was $10 itself, I am quite pleased with this set.

It is exactly what its supposed to be.
