Roman Britain: Life at the Edge of Empire

Easy read and for me that's saying something. I'm a visual person and there are wonderful pictures of various finds throughout...some amazing Roman craftsmanship examples which I enjoyed. There are other additional texts if you are looking for a more in depth study but for the ancient Rome enthusiast who is looking for an easy overall feel this was it for me. It is a nice addition to my all things Roman library.

Excellent overview with plenty of illustrations & photographs. It identifies how Rome became woven into the tapestry of Britain.
