What is the estimated shelf life of this item?

I can't find the original packaging but similar items I have are stamped 12-2017 so that would make them good for about 5 years.

Are these separately sealed in plastic packaging, or are all five sealed together?

Mine showed up without the clear plastic packaging. Each individually sealed paper-packaged pad was just floating loose in the box - not sure how sterile they are, but someone had to handle them to get them into the box, so..., were their hands clean? No way to know.

Are these absorbent compress dressings that Red Cross recommends?

I have no idea what an Israeli bandage is. This is a thick pad you use on wounds to absorb any drainage the wound may have.
