Flavor Essence Custom 5 Pack Case - Unsweetened Natural Flavors - Any Combination of Flavors You Want - 5 Bottles

I have had these for a few months and wanted to give my review for others who might be hesitant to purchase. I purchased the Caramel Creme 'Brûlée, Mint Chocolate, Bananas Foster, Vanilla Cream, and Coconut. The seller is wonderful, responsive and professional. The package shipped much quicker than was estimated and came in a lovely box with instructions on how to mix flavors to get even more use out of the product. These flavorings are a great value and I would buy them again. I drink decaf coffee and apparently retailers think that decaf coffee drinkers only drink plain coffee, Vanilla coffee or Hazelnut coffee....we don't. Which is why these flavors are GREAT for an every day cup of coffee and for making your own "dessert" coffee, plus, you get to control the ingredients, and why I purchased these. I don't want a bunch of sugar in my drink and I don't want Stevia, Xylitol or Erythritol as they make me sick. I want to use Splenda and sometimes no sweetener at all. Sometimes I feel like fat free milk, sometimes I want heavy cream. These flavors work with all different ingredients and you have to love that kind of versatility! The Caramel is nice. It's not too strong and I actually use 15 drops for my 12 ounce cup, sometimes I add a tablespoon of Sugar Free Smuckers Caramel topping and either heavy cream or whole milk. Bananas Foster tastes straight up like you are drinking banana bread! It is very good!, I use either non dairy creamer or heavy cream or whole milk in it. The Mint Chocolate is nice! I add about 10 drops of the flavoring, a teaspoon or two of unsweetened cocoa and whole milk. The Coconut I use about 10 drops of flavoring and whole milk. You could use Coconut Milk or Coconut Cream (from the can) as well. I did not like the Vanilla as much as I do the other flavors. It had a bit of an alcohol after taste. I actually use imitation vanilla in all of my cooking because I don't like the alcohol aftertaste some flavorings had. It's not a bad taste at all either, it just wasn't my preferred medium, so I will use it for something else, no big deal. For those who complain that the flavoring is not strong enough, I think they may be used to flavored coffees you can buy at fast food restaurants and coffee bars. Those establishments use a TON of other ingredients to flavor up your drink to make it way more palatable/addicting? than most of us are used to. Those ingredients are mostly, fats and sugars. Look at the calorie content and you'll understand. The more sugar and fat, the more tasty it is. I will also say that I have purchased the Sugar Free Hazelnut Toriani syrup that says to use "Just a splash" to flavor your drink. Well a "splash" is actually two tablespoons. Compare that to the drops needed to flavor and you'll see that that is a big difference and that these drops are a good value. When I just want a quick flavored coffee, I use the drops, about 10-15 each because I'm using a 12 ounce cup. When I want a coffee bar drink, I add the other ingredients as I mentioned above. Plus you can just bring the little bottle with you or leave it in your desk at work for that afternoon cup. I have not used these flavoring to add to water so I do not have a review for water. I LOVE these. I’m mostly using them to flavor drinks, namely mock-tails, my selzter waters and my coffee and teas. They are SO good and easy to use. Maybe a slight learning curve since they are very strong so a light hand is needed. As long as these don’t change I’m a customer for life. I just received my second box of flavors and I love mixing and matching. They seem to take on deeper richer flavor if they sit for a bit but that could be my imagination. Anyway I’m seriously impressed. If you are a fan of flavored seltzers these do an amazing job. I’d like to add, the additional info and hand written note is a nice touch. You don’t get that much these days. My packaging has always come intact and secure too. 👍🏾

Exactly what I wanted! These are pure essences that you can add to liquids. I wanted to flavor my water slightly so that I would drink more, but I don't use artificial sweeteners and limit added sugar. Perfect! They are pretty expensive, but I think the cost is justified. I love the personalized note on the instructions and the warning wrapped around the meyer lemon bottle. And the labels are really pretty, kind of in the style of old fruit crate labels.

We plow through seltzer in our house, and I got sick of all the buying, transporting, storing, and recycling of mountains of cans and bottles- annoying and oh-so-wasteful. After all, we have excellent water coming right out the tap- why all the packaging and shipping of water when all we lack is some C02 and some quality flavorings? A recent overflowing recycle bin and less-than-productive "negotiations" with my 13-year-old son concerning a relocation of some cans to the garage transformed my annoyance into action. We dipped our toe in the waters of making seltzer at home several years ago, but just couldn't find satisfaction with any of the many flavorings we attempted, and the effort foundered, so suffice it to say my better half was less than supportive of my renewed interest in breaking our not-so-little habit. But my resolve was strong, and she humored me just long enough to order a few parts (seriously- buy an adapter hose on eBay, a large CO2 tank, and kick the small gas cylinder problem to the curb, as well- but that's a different story) and I set to work researching some flavorings. Voila! I found these (as you have, too). I put in my order (we chose Raspberry, Black Cherry, Coconut, Creme Brulee, and Peach) and a very attractively-packaged assortment arrived a couple of days later (with a personal, hand-written note, I might add!). A little carbonation magic later, a few drops of flavor, and everyone in the house is in complete agreement that our commercial seltzer demon has been exorcised! All five of the flavors we've tried are delicious! For our taste, 4-5 small drops per ~1 liter bottle of water is more than enough flavor, and the drops are easy to dispense directly from the bottle- no eyedropper or measuring tools needed. At that pace, the flavorings will last many months, if not a year or two, even at our high seltzer consumption rate. I haven't calculated how many gallons of water they will flavor before we're through, but the number is very high, and thus the value in these flavorings is a no-brainer. I can't speak to the use of these flavorings in other applications, but if flavored carbonated water (or uncarbonated, for that matter), is your thing, these flavorings are the way to go.

I purchased a 5 bottle set, with the intent of using them as a no-sweetener latte flavoring. Boy am I glad I did! I ordered the following flavors: Coconut, French vanilla creme, caramel creme brûlée, milk chocolate, and custard creme. They came in a cute box with lots of suggestions for use, mixing, and info about the product and other flavors they offer. I also appreciated the explanation that these are BACKGROUND flavors. they are NOT syrups. they don't smack you in the face or put fuzz on your teeth. And I like that! This stuff is amazing. I can make a latte with espresso, milk, and a small squirt of this stuff, and it is DELICIOUS. just the right amount of flavor and scent, without being cloying and sweet. I selected flavors I thought would go well in a latte, and EVERY one of them is great! I also like mixing them together. For example, the cocount and chocolate together taste like mounds bar! Some days I add a lot, some days a little, whatever I"m in the mood for. and I'm not adding any sugar (real or fake) or calories! When I saw all the other reviews mentioning making flavored seltzer water, I tried mixing each flavor I had in with some store-bought plain seltzer water. It's amazing! the custard creme with seltzer water tastes like Cream Soda! Now I can't wait to buy a soda stream and order a 5-pack of fruity flavors! I also tried this in a chia-seed pudding that I made using chia seeds, orange juice, and a dash of the custard cream. Tastes like a Dreamsicle!! I'm a lifetime customer now!

The presentation is wonderful and the recipe cards are very thoughtful, but I am not a fan of the flavors for sparkle water. I was trying to replicate la croix but most of the flavors ended up tasting very synthetic. I didn’t like the tangerine, or French vanilla cream; but kind of like the blueberry, strawberry and peach. I tried using both sparingly (1-3 drops) and up to a 1/4 tsp per 12 Oz sparkle water. I also tried the suggestions of adding sugar or citric acid to enhance the flavors but they still tasted synthetic to me.

I have only tried the Key Lime so far, and it is so tasty! I make my own diet soda using fizzy water, sucralose drops and a little bit of citric acid. I tried the Bubly flavors but they all just tasted kind of "off". The Flavor Essence flavors are just that - a very clean essence of the flavor that you can adjust the amount you add to your liking. The dropper bottles make it super easy to add exactly as much as you like. I can't wait to buy more flavors to try! Bonus that this is a small business - I got a lovely personalized note from them when my ordered was a bit delayed.

Holy shamoley, these are amazing. We had been searching high and low for some flavoring to add to our Soda Stream, without adding any sugar. And there were, like, NONE. Literally. Then I found Mick and his little flavor essence drops and the clouds parted and the angels sung. We now have ten bottles, and will absolutely be buying more. They are highly concentrated, so a little goes a long way, and they are essentially calorie free (there's like 2 calories per 25 drops, but you'll be using just a handful of drops per serving/use). You can tell that Mick cares about his products as he has included a helpful book of instructions that he hand wrote on. I have even been happily surprised by flavors that my partner picked that I thought I wouldn't like. For example, Custard Creme (a MUST) will make any fruit flavor into a "creamsicle" version (Black Cherry and Tangerine are my favorite to blend with Custard Creme). BUT, on its own, Custard Creme will turn plain, sparkling water into a CREAM SODA. A Cream Soda with NO sugar/sugar substitutes!!! Not even a "kinda cream soda", but straight up, this tastes exactly like Cream Soda. My partner also likes to add flavors to his coffee, like Coconut and Toasted Almond. We bought them for our Soda Stream, but also use in coffee and cocktails. I'm sure they'd be great to use in marinades or dressings as well. I cannot speak highly enough about these drops. And if you have a Soda Stream, but want the option for added flavor, this is absolutely the way to go.
