Are other parts required to replace a broken mirror, or is everything included? Is a plastic backing plate required?

Answer depends on what is the type of damage on your vehicle mirror. This items is JUST The glass lens that comes with adhesive. There is NOTHING - No Heater Grid, No Plastic Backing Plate, No Blind Spot LEDs, No Electrical Connectors etc. attached on the back of the glass or included with the package. If your plastic backing plate is damaged then yes you DO in fact need a plastic backing plate. The purpose of this class is to simply be stuck on a cracked glass, or peel off the broken glass pieces and stick this glass on the plastic backing plate. This glass can NOT, and should NOT be used to stick on mirror motor head directly. Please do NOT order this item if anything other than your mirror glass lens is damaged or not usable.
