Speck Products SmartFlex Card Samsung Galaxy S4 Case - Black

...like when you go to a casino, a buffet, an amusement park, mini golfing, bowling -- essentially any situation where babysitting your purse puts a damper on your day/night out -- this case is what you've been waiting for. It reliably holds 3-4 bills/cards and provides typical TPU case protection. When I first put the case on, I was disappointed in the fit, but I had a front AND rear skinomi skin on my phone. I could see the silver belt around the phone all the way around the front of the case! I decided to take the skin off the back side of the phone and that actually made all the difference. So, be aware/mindful of the fact that the case was designed using a NAKED S4, so the depth of the case is made for exactly that. If they "considered" skins or marginally extended batteries (aka slight extra depth), then people would complain that the phone wiggles in the case and/or that items do not slide in and out of the card slot as fluidly as they should. After removing the rear skinomi from my phone, the sides of the case were still a little loose on my phone. I was a little concerned that the case still didn't quite fit like I expected it to, but after a day or 2, the sides became snug and flush along the sides of the screen. Guess it just needed some time out of the packaging and a chance to mold itself to its new home...Ha! The cutouts for the camera/mics/ports/speaker/sensors all line up beautifully and the TPU material is a matte/textured finish that provides grip without attracting fingerprints. I have paid $30 for a case before, but this one is actually more worth it than any other case I have ever purchased. The versatility/functionality of it is something I have needed for YEARS and I am so happy that there is finally a quality product that offers it to me at a decent price! I would definitely buy one again!

I just started using the case yesterday and it is great! I will list the benefits down below: 1. Portability: the SmartCard Flex case is easy and simple to carry and fits into any standard pocket. It does however, add some extra thickness to the already thin Samsung Galaxy S4. I would say it adds about almost close to an inch thickness with 3 cards in it. The thickness is reasonable though, since it does have a feature that holds 3 cards. Without the 3 cards, it's half an inch less thicker. All in all, its not as obnoxiously large as you think it would be. 2. Great quality material: the material is a matte material with no gloss or slip. I personally like the case without a glossy finish, because the case always looks clean and sleek in design. Even when you hold it in your hand for a long time, the material stays dry with your hands and doesn't get sticky or sweaty as with a glossy finish. With other glossy products that I have used in the past, it is prone to leaving fingerprint marks and is susceptible to wear and tear. I have never used a matte case before, but it seems like the quality will hold for a long time and it will need a lot of years before it can actually start to wear and tear. 3. Fit: the phone fits nicely into the case. Other reviewers have claimed that it seems loose and does not fit as tight as most other speck products. Personally, I think the fit is great. it's tight enough to hold the phone together, and easy enough to get it out. One thing about most other Speck products is that they're known for their very tight and snug fit, sometimes its so tight that it takes a battle to get the phone out of the case. The good thing about a tight case is that if you drop the phone, it will most likely not fall off or get loose, therefore, enhancing its protection. This phone may not be as tight and snug like most other Speck products but its easy enough to insert and remove the case, but also tight enough to protect the phone. 3. Price: as with most brand name products like Speck, the price is a bit expensive, but at least the quality is great. All in all, the price matches its quality. This is my first Speck case and I must say, I am impressed and can see why many people invest into this company. I mainly got this case because its very convenient for me to be able to carry my driver's license and credit cards all at once. I recommend anybody who is simple and loves portability in a case. The design is nice and simple and overall, it is great! Thank you Speck and Amazon!

but unfortunately I had the iphone 4 version of this and it was leaps and bounds better. I really liked the old case because it was a soft rubber case enclosed in a hard plastic exterior. The soft material definitely absorbed energy during impacts but it did cause issues taking the case in and out of your pocket. This Galaxy case worries me because it is one type of semi-rigid plastic and I wonder how much impact it can absorb. Moving on... This case which I am reviewing is light and adds little weight to the overall assembly. The access ports for the headphone jack and the micro USB were a definite improvement from the iP4s case. I see little interference potential between the Galaxy case and aftermarket head phone or charging male pieces. This was a pain for the old style. The design seems to need the credit cards in the slot to maintain the desired structural integrity. That being said, it easily takes 4 cards with out a hiccup. The case does significantly increase the depth of the phone, but what would you expect from a wallet/phone hybrid? This is an acceptable feature but I thought it should be noted. This got docked one star due to the overall build quality relative to the old case. This got docked another star due to the price/performance ratio (in my opinion). At $40 I feel you could get much more, but then again I got the old one for $15. This case does fulfill a few criteria that I absolutely needed: 1. It has a lip protruding on the face which protects the screen. 2. It offsets the camera face from touching a surface when placed camera side down 3. It is a wallet (I got really used to not carrying a wallet) 4. It provides grip to the phone (I felt at any minute my S4 was going to fly from my hands) I would recommend this to anyone if the price was less than $20, but at $40 it is a hard decision. **EDIT** After some thought I decided to give this a star back. It is a nice case and just because I had expectations prior to receiving it isn't the fault of the case. I would recommend it to a friend.

Die beste hülle für das s4, ich nutze sie für bankkarte und firmenausweis. Somit b4auche ich nicht immer meinen geldbeutel mitführen. Es ist stabil, hochwertig und sieht gut aus. Zustand und festigkeit der karten nach 2 monaten und intensiven gebrauch: neuzustand!

I previously had the iPhone version of this case and when i switched to a Samsung S4 I was upset to leave my old case behind... this is an amazing product!!! I had a habit of losing my bus pass if i just put it in my pocket but now that I have this, so long as i have my phone i have everything else. Pros -Can hold up to 3 cards (bus pass, student card and debit card) with no problems -Has a smooth back which is designed to fit nicely in the hand - Adds a degree of protection to the phone which has saved mine from dropping - Unlike the iPhone version this one is incredibly easy to take off - Seeing as the Samsung S4 is so thin, i find this make the phone a little more substantial in your hand so easier to hold. Cons -It does double the size of the phone so harder to put in Women's Jeans pockets - Does make the phone look quite chunky This phone is great for those who dont want to bring a purse on a night out as well, i put my ID and debit card in it and just put money in a spare pocket of my bag so i need not worry about losing my purse and losing everything else!!
