Q: Would this work well for a 4 year old?

Yes my 3 year old has been using it for over a year. He loves it. The brush is small enough.

Q: What is the actual depth of the brush head? Greater than 1/2 inch? I’m using it for a small dog and there’s not much room between cheek and teeth!

quip brush heads are 1/2 inch in depth. However please note that quip does not recommend using their toothbrushes on dogs.

Q: Why does the box say professional use only?

quip is made for all mouths and can be used by anyone but a child brush is recommended for use under adult supervision.

I brought it for my 12 year old and 9 year old granddaughters. They were small and they didn’t care for them
