Excellent Idea
I am just trying these coconut shell buttons for the first time; and, so far, I am totally pleased with them. (I will update this review if I determine differently …. ) My first project in which I have used these buttons does not place too much stress on them, but they are holding up beautifully. Assuming that they have at least the resiliency of wood, I think that using coconut shells instead of wood wherever possible is a brilliant idea — Save the trees! Let’s see how they hold up through many laundry cycles; but so far, so good.

Nice and sturdy
Replaced all of the buttons on my work shirt with these. The old buttons would just cut all of the thread for some reason. These have done the trick and have lasted through many washes now.

Save your money!
These are super cheap buttons. They look awful.
