This is a very specific type of car mount for folks that have a CD player in their vehicle … or more appropriately, a CD player in their vehicle that they hardly ever use. While you can insert and remove this mount at will, in my mind it kind of defeats the purpose of having a phone mount if you’re always having to put it in and take it out over and over again. So if you’re still using your CD player, I highly suggest getting another style of phone mount. But if you’re not using your CD player and it’s just sitting there, this would be a fantastic phone mount to get for your vehicle. It installs easily, it adjusts easily, it’s very easy to use, and it’s a universal fit. It is made of heavy duty plastic and from what I can tell so far, it should be pretty durable simply because there’s not very many parts on it to break and the plastic is heavy duty and thick. I’m really liking it ...

This cd slot mounted phone holder is just what I was looking for! When installed into the cd slot and locked into place, it becomes very sturdy. I have a Note 7 with a slim case on it and it holds it without any problems. The only thing I would've liked to see different is a shorter locking screw. Mine is tightened down as far as it needs to be and the screw still hangs down a little farther than I'd like. Not a big deal, but a minor annoyance. I can't see cd slots having much of a size difference, so the length of the locking bolt seems to be a 1/2 inch or so longer than it needs to be.

This thing is an answer to prayer for me. It installs quick, holds onto my phone better than I do, and because my car has never had a CD played in it, I won't have to remove this, wasting all of 3 seconds. It was out of the box and in place within a minute. The only thing I have any apprehension about is on day 2 I had to tighten it down again. I'm not sure if it molded into place or what, but day 3 it was still firmly in place. The 360° spin and close to 120° tilt and rotate is ample movement to place it perfectly in position so I can read the screen without glare or distraction.

Overall, it does the job. My CD slot is little bit larger in height than I imagine most are. It was a bit of work to get this thing settled into my CD slot. If you have a large CD slot like me the tension knob can get a little hard to turn and will feel like you're breaking the device even though you need to tighten it a bit more. One thing to note that I didn't really think about it this item will likely be intrusive to your radio. Using the radio while your phone is simultaneously mounted is sort of a hassle. Unmounting this thing isn't a huge deal as you just need to loosen the tension and pull out the device, but it's just enough of a hassle to unmount it as is to just work around using your radio. Clipping in your phone is easy as you just need to push one of the sides that's spring loaded and it'll keep your phone secure. It is a little annoying putting in your phone every time you get in the car, but I would rather it be a little annoying than unsecure/falling out.

I absolutely love it. Made of hard plastic, it is neither brittle, nor bendable, so it will easily hold a Samsung Note 5. I use it when my Note 5 is on navigation duty, or when I'm in a parking lot watching YouTube videos. Talk about hands-free, this is the one to get when you can't use a window glass suction mount, or a dashboard mount. Works great, and makes a nice Christmas present.

This is my second similar product. The first one got tossed because the "ball joint" could no longer be adjusted tight enough to hold the phone in place. So far at least, this one doesn't have that problem.Finally! A way to actually use my car's CD player slot.

Absolutely love this thing! I have an 04 odyssey and my old phone clip use to go into the Ac vents (which was great if you could shut the vent) my old one made my phone too cold so I needed a new one. It worked just like it says in the description. It is also very sturdy. I have an iPhone 6 Plus and it has no problems keeping it secured! Fits very snug in CD player and best of all, I doesn't block my Ac vents or make my phone cold! I almost want to purchase another one in case my current one ever gets old and worn out from my kids.

Works as described. There's a tightening screw on the back/underside that secures it in place in the CD Slot. It took me a could tries to get it securely in, it will move a bit when I'm putting my iPhone 7plus in, but not that much. Holds the phone securely, even in a Speck case. Overall, for the price, it works.
