Better Than Expected
After applying two coats of Rust-oleum (Gunmetal Gray) EpoxyShield with flakes to my 800 sq ft garage floor, I elected to add this Rust-oleum clear coat. Upon applying the gray coatings, I found that the materials went farther than what was printed on the box (i.e., 450 - 500 sq ft), so I elected to purchase just one box of the clearcoat -- and hoped I could cover the entire 800 sq ft with one application. It worked! I was able to completely coat the entire 800 sq ft without an issue. I did this in just one hour. Here's what I learned along the way: -- Break the bag as instructed for the two parts to mix well. This interesting mix procedure worked well. -- I then poured the contents into a container to further mix, and I poured half into a roller tray to do the first half of the floor (to see if half would do half). I also added the anti-skid material that was provided. -- I found that a thin amount spread far (thicker isn't necessarily better). -- I didn't bother to 'cut in' the edges with a brush, as this is a clear coat. Rolling the edges went fast. -- I then completed the first half, and followed up with the second half with ease. -- Once the entire floor was covered, I took the wet roller and rolled every square inch again to ensure I didn't miss any dry spots. The overhead lights helped reflect wet versus dry as I rolled. -- I used the spiked shoe attachments (purchased separately). BE CAREFUL these spiked platforms can slip on the wet surface. There's a learning curve -- I found it best not to shift your weight to stretch. Falling is one thing; falling into epoxy is another! -- About 28 hours after the application, it was still marginally tacky. So I've elected to wait another day to walk, and four days to drive. Last tip for those of you who haven't epoxied before ... I suggest you use two coats of colored epoxy. Wait until the second coat completely covers the floor before applying chips. Don't ever throw chips -- put a very small amount in the cup of your hand and spread it like shaking grass seed. Cover the entire floor with a very mall amount and repeat until you have a nicely-distributed look. Throwing = unintended clumps.

Awesome Garage Coating!
This is a game-changer for anyone looking to enhance and protect their floors. Whether you’re upgrading a garage, basement, or workshop, this kit provides a durable and glossy clear finish that not only looks professional but also delivers long-lasting protection. The kit is user-friendly, even for those without experience in floor coatings. The instructions are clear, and the coating goes on smoothly. With proper surface preparation, the epoxy adheres perfectly, creating a seamless and even layer. The included tools make the application process even more convenient, and the low odor is a huge plus.

Not worth the money
I purchased this product from the seller advertised in the box shown on the website, which looks like the same kit Lowe’s sells for $179.00. However, when the product arrived it was in a small brown box different than the packaging shown on the website or the description. Additionally , it states there’s enough clear coat for a two car garage. Not true. It doesn’t even come in the package shown , which states it covers 400-500 feet. My garage is 400 ft , the can of clear coat I received and covered about 300 ft, not 4-500 feet! Since, the contractor was in the middle of the job, I had to purchase a kit from Lowes so he could finish the job that cost me $184.00. When I notified Amazon and the seller I got crickets. So, disappointed. ☹️ Don’t waste your money

Saved my epoxy floor
I used black gorilla epoxy on a portion of my garage, but it cured uneven and some parts were glossier than others. I immediately went into a rage-based panic, so I did some quick research and found this clear gloss product. I lightly scuffed my gorilla epoxy floor and poured this right over. I also added the anti skid to it. Came out money. If you’re a DIYer and might have messed up you floor, this product might be able to help.

Happy with it, but a little more volume needed
I followed the instructions. What other reviewers say is true: it is easy to come up short with this product. I BARELY covered the whole garage with only cutting in about half of the garage. I ended up buying it again to finish the job where I had missed some spots and finish trimming in. I would highly recommend trying to portion the epoxy into 1/4 volumes with a disposable measuring cup for each quadrant of the garage and regret that I did not. That way you know exactly what you need to use in the area to cover just enough. After reading a review, for the the 2nd coat I used a 1/4” epoxy roller. DO NOT do that. I regret doing that on the 2nd coat. The 2nd coat ended up more uneven than the first, but still looks good enough. Just follow the instructions and use a 3/8” nap roller as it says. On the first coat, I used a 3/8” nap roller per the instructions and it looked more even. Try to be very methodical in the areas that you roll out, as it is very easy to miss a spot when applying this clear coat. Time will tell how it lasts. Overall I am happy with it, but I think this is a 4 star product due to how easy it is to come up short. Would be 5 stars if they sold it as 100-128 fl oz instead of 90.

-2 stars for lack of integrity
I just completed an indoor garage area of 400sq ft. I used rustoleums degreaser and etcher and then applied 3 coats of epoxy paint with a heavy layer of flake on the 3rd coat. I bought 2 boxes of Rustoleums clearcoat, double the recommended amount according to Rustoleum....still had bare spots and thin spots. Ended up buying a 3rd gallon of clear coat to complete the job. The product itself is good! It looks good, time will tell if it lasts... It is expensive as well. 1 box of this does not come close to covering 500sq ft like advertised, more like 150sq ft per gallon/box even for newly painted floor. Triple the recommended amount you need for your project. -2 STARS FOR LYING ABOUT THE COVERAGE OF THIS PRODUCT!

Tres bon résultat. Comme j’ai mis beaucoup fois plus de flocons, cela a réduit le pouvoir couvrant par 3.

Very easy to follow directions! I bought mica powder to colour my epoxy. My space is 350 sqft, I said what the heck I’ll buy two boxes (enough for 1000 sqft) to be safe based on the reviews. It didn’t even cover half. I’m honestly buying another 2000 sqft worth to finish the last half. It took the colour very well.

The way you mix the 2 ingredients is funky but bulletproof. Do not put any thing else in the mix!
