Liberty Meadows: Book Two, Creature Comforts

did not know about this comic strip as it never ran in newspapers where i lived. pursued it due to its high ratings as one of the best comic strips by some resouces. Mr Cho is a talented artist and a developer of some funny concepts and story lines, but does tread the same pathways at times, and has a specific focus that becomes obvious in the first few pages and which some may find tiresome, offensive, or demeaning. Mr Cho is at his best with his animal characters. almost all of the artist's work is available, but be careful to research which book contains which strips so that you don't get redundant reprints. unfortunately the strip petered out before resolution of the prime story line, so be prepared. overall the pros of the strip outweigh the cons, but the world of liberty meadows may not be for everyone.

I stumbled upon the Liberty Meadows series while looking at another book portraying the work of Frank Cho. This is some of his early work and I have gotten more than a few laughs over it. If your a Frank Cho fan, pick these books up.

I'd only seen a few of the individual comic strips, so bought all four of these compilations. Frank Cho has a great talent both for the drawings and for the story. Reading them through in sequence is a hoot. Too bad he's not doing them any more ...

Frank Cho at the best

Frank Cho is the man. Liberty Meadows is smart, funny and has some of the best artwork used for what was once a just a simple comic strip. Cho is absolutely brilliant.

Get Volume one and then get this one. Well written, well drawn, great story arcs... the Liberty Meadows series is simply the best.This hardcover trade paperback is an excellent bargain instead of buying the back issues. Again, one of the few comics I would lend to friends, even girls. ;-)

Containing series #10-18, this comic book gives readers a great collection of Cho's excellent series. The pages are made from thick paper, the ink is well printed without flaws and the book contains several covers and preliminary sketches in addition to the comic strips. It's all made in black/white, except the booklet cover, which is made from a nice and thick glossed cardboard paperback.Introducing the book is Scott Kurtz. Then we are started off with the strips, ending with the romantic and funny cookout in the outdoors.

Un cómic para pasar buenos ratos, divertido y sin pretensiones. Excelente dibujo en blanco y negro que combina el realismo de las figuras humanas con el estilo "cartoon" de los animales. Aunque se publicó como una tira cómica en periódicos, hay continuidad en las historias y se lee casi como un tebeo normal. La edición es de gran calidad y añade varios extras en forma de portadas, bocetos, etc.

El humor está en el límite entre el chiste de bar y las referencias al arte clásico pero la ironía está siempre presente. La edición en buen papel y gran tamaño para apreciar el dibujo

Liberty Meadows, l'oeuvre de Franck Cho ! Les albums sont en couverture souple, ce qui n'est pas la meilleure finition du monde, mais le prix est très intéressant, et les ajouts en fin de livre sont tout simplement superbes :)
