Very nice, lightweight, and compact external HDD. Works out of the box. This will be useful for my school and programming files.

Super easy to set up you just plug it in and your consol will ask if it will be staying attached or moved around. Once you choose it automatically sets itself up.Works really well! Transferring my games takes only a couple minutes and it’s so easy to use , definitely a good option if you don’t have a lot of storage space on your gaming console.

Excellent external storage device. Safely transfers files, securely stores files, & quickly opens files. I recommend this product for those running out of hard drive space.

So far so good working as It should. Price was fair. Isn't noisy whatsoever. I actually had another for years It held up very well until It got full so hoping for the same experience with this one.

I bought this portable hard drive to use as back-up drive that I can store off-site, and the small size makes it especially useful for that. I chose this Seagate portable drive over the WD I also bought to use on my husband's PC becasue it explicitly said that it was Mac-compatible, while the WD said I'd have to reformat. While that's more or less true, this Seagate did not work with my Mac right out of the box. It comes in read-only format. I had to download an updated NTFS for Macs program so that I could write on it. While that solution works well, I had to research the problem on the internet since Seagate does not provide instructions on what to do. But the drive itself works flawlessly now that I have NTFS on my Mac. The write speed is fast. Because I'm not running any programs off of it and instead am using it to back-up files only, the speed is good enough for me -- it's faster than the older external drives I use for home back-ups. It comes with a USB 3.0 cable that is backward compatible with USB 2.0, so your speeds will be dependent on whether you have a 2.0 or 3.0 port and limited by the technology of both. If you need a faster connection, get a drive with a USB C or Thunderbolt connection that can connect to the appropriate port on your computer. And if you need speed, consider an SSD drive. The drive is slightly smaller than my hand -- and I don't have large hands. It is a non-powered drive -- that is, it is powered through the USB drive rather than through a wall outlet. Other than my initial frustration figuring out how to make the drive compatible with my Mac, this drive has turned out to be exactly what I wanted. -- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

TIP: Buy from 'Appario Retail Private Ltd' they ask for a reasonable price. 16 TB ('terabyte in decimal' NOT 'tebibyte in Binary') in Decimal Bit-unit so about 14,900 GB('gibibyte in Binary' NOT 'gigabyte in decimal') in Binary Bits. Difference: 1 TB(terabyte) = 1000 GB(gigabyte) {in decimal} 1 TB(tebibyte) = 1024 GB(gibibyte) {in Binary} Therefore, 1 TB(terabyte in decimal) = 931 GB(gibibyte in Binary) approx. That's why when we buy microSD Card it shows less in mobile device than what was branded for. Manufacturers use/brand in 'decimal' where as we all know digital computers are 'binary' at their core + the OS takes a bunch more. Ya tengo bastante tiempo con este producto y es fantástico en relación calidad precio. Tiene 14 Tb de almacenamiento y no ha fallado nunca. Le queda muchísimo espacio. Es ideal para tener un equipo de cómputo libre de archivos. Lo mejor es que sea para un lugar fijo.

Quando chegou achei um pouco maior e mais pesado do que eu esperava mas estava muito bem embalado e foi fácil de começar a usá-lo no Windows 11 Pro.

Die Platte ist gut. Schreibgeschwindigkeit ist okay. Sie brummt bloß etwas mehr als die anderen Platten die ich habe. Und ab und zu kommen andere Geräusche dazu. Aber das stört mich nicht weil sie nur als Backup dient. Braucht auch länger zum anmelden am PC als die anderen Platten. Aber für das Geld ist sie für mich trotzdem top.
