Amazing robin scare
Amazing. A robin banged at my patio door for 10 hours a day for a week. Installed 3 of these on each door and the robin disappeared, never to return. This really works.

Worked to stop cardinal from pecking on the window
It's so nice when something actually works! We have cardinals who peck at various windows on out house every spring. They literally do it all day long and it's annoying. Not to mention, probably not very good for them either. So far we've only had one bird start to peck but hanging these outside in front of the window did the trick. The bird is gone and so far hasn't moved to another window. All is quiet now. We strung three together using binder rings to attach them to each other because we have tall windows. The binder rings made the process super simple.

Sparrows be gone!
My porch is assaulted by little sparrows cloaca’s this time of year, every year. I didn’t necessarily want to use spikes cause they’re ugly. The clear ones are a bit pricey. And the sparrows take to the space between the porch and the gap of the wall where it protrudes out so there’s maybe 4” or so of space there for them to just chill under. So anything like that would have to go there which makes it tricky. Anyway. These have worked wonders so far. I didn’t have high hopes but these came in clutch. 🐦 They don’t like em. Birds stay tf away from my porch now even if it’s not windy. No more spraying doo doo off my porch every day 🥲 🌀 It’s a fun design like an icicle, maybe a little Christmas-y. About a foot long. No more than an inch in diameter. Not super obnoxious. // my husband said he’d rather deal with bird 💩 than have the house look trashy or ghetto and he hasn’t complained so they look just fine! 🪢 They come already on a stretchy string/rubber band which is convenient so no assembly there but it would be nice to have the ability to tie them to something without having to actually cut that and retie or use another string to wrap around it. Not a huge issue though. ✨ Super reflective, like I said the birds don’t f with it. 💪 it comes with 12 plastic rods, which are semi durable, wont break on their own but they could take damage with enough pressure. More worried about the elastic that comes with it breaking than anything else! 💰 it’s about $1 a piece for a 12 ct pack which is a decent price. Though I say they’re worth more around the 50c-75c range per unit lol Overall I’m happy because the sparrows are leaving my house alone… for now 👀

They don’t work.
They don’t work. The INSTANT I stopped spraying bird poop off my porch, the doves started landing there again (photo attached). By the time I went back in the house, a dozen more birds joined them.

Replace the string before hanging!
They seem to be effective at deterring woodpeckers BUT they wound up on the ground in less than 2 months. The cheap rubber-band like string does not hold up to the elements. I have to hire someone with a very long extension ladder to re-hang them once I figure out what kind of string or wire to use.

Attractive & Functional
These are sturdy, attractive, the perfect length for hanging in the Tree to ward off the birds. And they look cool in the sunlight.

Ineffective for Deterring Woodpeckers
The Woodpecker Rods with Reflective Devices seemed like a promising solution for keeping woodpeckers away from my house, but unfortunately, they did not deliver as expected. Despite hanging all 12 reflective rods around the problem areas, the woodpeckers continued peaking as if the rods weren’t even there. While the reflective design adds a bit of visual appeal, especially on sunny days or as outdoor decorations, the rods' primary purpose of deterring birds didn’t work in my case. The rods are lightweight and easy to hang, which is convenient, but their ineffectiveness makes them a disappointing purchase. These might serve as a simple holiday accent if you’re looking for an outdoor decorative piece. ird deterrent, they fall short of expectations. It may be worth exploring other methods or deterrents if you're dealing with persistent woodpeckers, however, as a BS.
