ALTO Bluetooth Ultimate XLR Equipped Rechargeable Stereo Bluetooth Receiver for Mixing Desk/Audio Mixer Setups and Active PA Systems

First, I would like to address buying a used product from Amazon. I purchased the Alto Ultimate with the condition described as: "Used - Very Good. Item will come in original packaging. Packaging will be damaged." I received a large cardboard box with a small clear plastic baggie containing the Alto. Nothing else except for paper padding. No charging cord, no instructions. By the time I purchased a charge cord I saved a whopping $4 USD. Whoopie! Now on to the product review.... I am an audio professional, with over 40 years of TV broadcast and sound reinforcement experience. I will not bore you with response and distortion specs. This is not a straight wire. It does color the audio. If the intended use involves an area with 500 people, each with a cell phone, then you had better have a backup plan. So what can it do? Well if a performer wants to play tracks from a laptop controlled by the drummer, then that can be set up wirelessly in about a minute. How about a church "Kid-Fest" with a bouncy castle and other activities? You want sound from speakers that cover the area but don't want a bunch of XLR cables that have to be taped down. Specifically, a non-critical activity where you can use very good audio with a bit of latency. I really like having a couple of these in my tool box for a quicker setup and strike. My wish list: Wish there was a clipping LED to make setup even easier. And a way to turn off that ridiculous signal loss beep. In summary, the sound is very good and works great in many situations. Just have an XLR cable ready just in case.

Studio-level quality. It adds a slight lift and sounds excellent, without the need for high volume. Very comfortable to use. It connects to a dedicated channel, with independent control over all effects, completely separate from the other channels. I’m really enjoying this product.

Great unit, probably the third new version I've seen. They work really well but in my experience I burn one out every 9-12 months with regular use. I've been through 5-10 of these and always replace them with the same brand because of the sound quality and ease of use. Good value but if you're using it multiple days a week expect it to go out on your eventually, I've gotten to the point I always have an extra unit on standby in case of failure during an event.

Great so far! Just got it and used it for a 4 hour karaoke session. Ran it into a channel on my mixer and used it to play Spotify tracks in between singers from my phone. Super easy to connect, crystal clear sound - highly recommend.

Am a DJ and a bunch of times I just rent out my speaker on it’s own but it’s not Bluetooth it’s just a rcf art 912a speaker so I got this and plugged it into the speaker and it works great easy to use and he sound quality is great I didn’t experience any issues with this so now I rent out my equipment with this it does feel a little junky material but it still works and it’s decently bigger then expected and the only downside is that if you have the volume on the speaker and you disconnect from the device it makes a very loud beeping sound so make sure to have the volume to the lowest then once it’s connected plug it into the speaker but overall works great and does the job for me

I got one to be able to hook a computer/TV into a established A/V system without running 50ft cords. A good solution to allow someone's phone to connect to a professional system.

Ho una coppia di LD MAUI5 e avevo la necessità di utilizzarle in coppia per effetto stereo veicolando la sorgente sonora da uno smartphone; nonostante ciascuna unità sia dotata di bluetooth, tuttavia è noto che lo smartphone, nonostante agganci più unità bluetooth, non può assicurare l'audio doppio e dopo avere provato anche con un Samsung abilitato al doppio audio, non si riusciva a accoppiare la seconda unità perché entrambe dotate di bluetooth 4.2 (è solo dal 5.0 che è possibile sdoppiare l'audio verso due dispositivi bluetooth identici). Ecco perché ho scelto la coppia di Alto total 2, e devo dire che è stato semplicissimo, si inserisce uno dei due total dietro la cassa (attenzione è necessario che la cassa sia preamplificata e che sia dotata di ingresso xlr femmina), lo si associa allo smartphone... Poi l'altro total idem dietro l'altra cassa e si preme il pulsante 'stereo link' da entrambi i dispositivi e il gioco è fatto, effetto stereo perfetto... Il bello è l'incredibile portata del bluetooth, circa 30 metri, sia tra la sorgente e il primo total e chiaramente anche tra il primo total e il secondo! Addirittura ho inserito il secondo piazzando il secondo ld MAUI5 al secondo piano e accoppiamento perfetto, nessuna perdita di segnale, da precisare che ogni total ha una durata di circa 6 ore come riportato nella confezione, ma su questo non confermo nel senso che si vedrà successivamente... Nel frattempo sono contentissimo, è vero il prezzo è alto ma si tratta di un prodotto professionale di altro livello, non è una scatoletta con una portata ridicola e poi il vantaggio di linkare subito, senza cavi e senza mixer è impagabile, saluti a tutti
