High quality Butter Dish. Much larger than I expected. But that is good. The color is beautiful. I purchased the Red and love it! I highly recommend this for your countertop butter storage. The lid fits nicely and has a good seal.

I purchased this Priority Chef stoneware butter dish as a replacement for a plastic one I've had for years. I specifically wanted something ceramic or metal, because my old plastic one had begun to "shed" bits of plastic where the surface had been cut across so many times. I also wanted something with a secure lid, to minimize the chance of a lid drop when retrieving the butter container. This option fit my criteria, and so far I'm very happy with it. The "dish" part of this item is long and wide enough for two "east coast" style butter sticks - nice to have a second stick "on deck" when needed. Unfortunately it isn't quite deep enough for 4 sticks, or those butter "bricks" I sometimes purchase from the market (to be clear, the advertised dimensions are accurate, but I was hoping there was wiggle room and there's not). The lid fits semi-snugly with the included gasket. I wouldn't call it airtight, but it doesn't just fall off if you move the dish around and it's not hard to open, so that works for me. My dish even came with a second gasket, which I stored away for future need. I am using this dish for butter storage in my refrigerator. Some reviewers noted they use it countertop, outside the fridge, but between the lid not giving a completely airtight seal and us not consuming that much butter that quickly, I'm using this for fridge storage only (I have a separate round butter crock, with a water line seal, that I use for smaller quantities of room temp butter). Last thing to mention is why I picked this butter dish over similar options available. I have some other Priority Chef products in my kitchen and have been very happy with them - most notably a set of stainless mixing bowls with lids - so when I saw their brand on this item, and at a competitive price point, that sealed the deal. Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is I wish it was just a tad deeper to accommodate a full pound of butter - dare to dream!

It's sturdy and attractive. The right size. We have the red one and the color is really nice.

I love the simplicity of this butter dish. The lid closes tightly, which keeps everything clean and fresh. It’s much easier to use and wash than the upside-down style of butter dishes. Overall, a great product—five stars!

The look is amazing, sturdy, easy to clean. Even if it has some flaws, I still like it, does looks good on my table that's for sure. Cons ; About the lid, it's either hard to remove, or it slips right off, there's no in between. Not sure if it's cuz of the butter that the lid slides right off even when sitting on the table but anyway. It's also not made for canadian butter size. I end up slicing half to put in, the other half in the fridge until I can refill it it again, well more like 3/4 in, so it isn't so bad that it doesn't fit as it's always nice to see you got a lol extra before you need to go out and get more butter. About the lid, I end up putting the beurrier upside down, that way the lid don't remove itself literally by itself.

Super easy to clean for someone who doesn’t have a dishwasher! Although the lid doesn’t close fully with a full Canadian sized butter it still works perfect. Functional and aesthetically pleasing.
