Pill Pod Medication/Rx Drug Combination Lock Box, Medium Size

Good product. Easy to use. Secure. I imagine if someone really wanted to get into it, they would need some kind of power tool or force. However, it's plastic so everyday use is safe. If someone tried to get into it with just their hands, they'd fail. I would like it if it was bigger but it's big enough to fit at least 4 prescription bottles. Maybe more. It's easy to open though with the combination. I'm able to open it when my hands are shaking, in the dark, half asleep, in a hurry, etc. I think if you have a few controlled substances and you want to make sure your meds are secure and safe, either to protect small children or to protect yourself from them being stolen, this is a good way to go about it. I would definitely recommend to family and friends. Just a good product. So many companies don't care about quality or their customers but this company appears to.

I bought this because I have a particularly dangerous medication that I must take twice each night, with the second dose needing to be prepared on my nightstand when I wake up in the middle of the night as the first dose wears off. Failing to have it prepared can lead to confusion as to weather it was already made and could lead to a possibly fatal OD. This case serves my purposes perfectly, since it is large enough to hold the bottle and easy enough to use that I can do it while 1/2 asleep, while also being much, much, much more childproof than the medicine bottle itself so that I do not have to worry about my 4 year old getting into it.While this does serve my purposes, it does also have some issues. This is definitely for kid-proofing, not for adult proofing. The case is all plastic, as is the entire locking mechanism. Any adult or teen that wants to get in to this thing can, but it would most likely show evidence of tampering.The one thing that really bugs me about this product is the cut-away picture of how much it holds, which is very misleading in my opinion. This case will absolutely not hold several different medications. I included a picture of my case with the two bottles I am using with it. For my needs those two bottles fit just fine, but nothing else would fit in there and still be accessible. This is really designed to be used with a small number of medications, and is not a general "medicine safe" to secure everything you may have.If I had bought this for another purpose I probably would have given it fewer stars, but because it really is going to serve my needs well I am happy to give it 4 out of 5.

What is the point of having a HUGH locked pill pod container (bigger than medium sized) when you can't fit an average size ROUND RX bottle with a 2 inch bottom diameter inside? The inner "non removal" or "non positional" handle placement (which fits into the combination lock/lid) prevents entry and I hope one day the company changes the inner handle design to allow more functional usage. It would have been nice to have a movable handle so you can easily access the storage space for average size medication bottles or install an open slide front similar to the picture on the website. Only works with a RX medication bottle that is 1 inch in diameter and unfortunately the majority of my prescription bottles aren't that small due to pill size and 30-90 day supply. 4Thought Products notified me after this review that it clearly states on the amazon website that the Rx Bottles has to be less than 1 3/4 inches in diameter but certainly the pictures displayed on amazon's website is deceiving because those displayed bottles don't look like they have such a small limited diameter. So before you buy check with your local pharmacy on their Rx pharmacy bottle size because my local pharmacy only uses 1 inch or 2 inch diameter bottles regardless of medication amount and pill size. Also this pill pod is so hugh (not what I would consider medium sized and therefore would never travel with it) and I have no idea how it would fit into a "Standard Depth Medicine Cabinet for home or travel."

Its a LOT smaller than it looks. I read that it could hold up to 8 standard prescription bottles and I'm lucky to even get 3 of my regular bottles in there, then because I have swollen arthritic hands I struggle to get the bottles out. The photo did make it look like it swung open from the front but its only the white section under the combination part that comes off. Be aware when you get this package in the mail that the 4 digit combination is displayed on a large sticker down the side of the container. I almost sent it back because it was a lot smaller than I expected, I should of went with a large one but decided to keep it since I only have a few meds that need locking up.

Although this safe has a silly shape, it actually works well. I believe it is pretty hard to break into by figuring out the combination, unlike a lot of cheap locks. Although the mechanism is very simple, it doesn't appear to give clues to the correct code, again unlike a lot of cheap combination locks. I cannot attest to how hard it would be just to break it, but so far it hasn't been violated by the family member who has broken into every other type of safe I have. It is large, could fit a few pill bottles. So far, I'm happy with it and I've had it for several months. No other lock or safe has lasted this long without being violated, including my hotel style safe.

This item isn't as roomy as it appears in the picture. I received it on time and it was packaged well. The quality of the product was poor. It broke after the first time I used it. I put some meds in it, when I went to open it one side was broken rendering this item useless.
