Huge Sound Difference on Records
This made a significant difference on a lot of my records snap crackle pops. It especially helped on new vinyl albums that were not clean sounding, sometimes covered in bits of paper or whatever from the factory. In addition, it's currently more affordable than other sonic options, which I just can't fathom the others doing that much better of a job than this machine. Also, I did try other less expensive cleaning methods leading up to this (velvet brush, carbon fiber brush...) and they only got so far.I haven't had a one come out dead quiet, if that is what you are looking for, not going to happen, but still tremendously helped raise the level of quality on every single record I've cleaned so far (currently about 35 and I've excitedly listed to the all of them after each cleaning.) Enough to confidently say this is not snake oil and makes a difference.I use distilled water with the Groovewasher ultrasonic fluid. It's pricey, but the records come out beautiful and it is relatively easy to apply to the process. I also found I get better results when I use the velvet brush (wetted with cleaning fluid) prior to ultrasonic (sort of like the "spin clean" machine.) I think this helps loosen anything in the grooves a bit more. I've never had a label get wet, the fluid just flows off the vinyl perfectly as it slowly spins. I also haven't had any issues with the water heating up, it gets there within a matter of a few minutes. Nor have I had any rusting. I knew it was going to be loud, but sound doesn't bother me and have even played video games (with headphones on), in the same room the cleaner is going. The sound also doesn't carry much at all though a room with a closed door or garage (happy wife, happy life.)I would recommend setting the timer for at least 20 minutes per record and do one record at a time. I was doing 15 minutes at first and found those 5 extra minutes yields better results. I did run a couple of the more crackle-y records though a couple of times and each time, the difference was heard. I ran one especially bad record 3 times, it went from painfully unlistenable, to something I don't mind keeping and enjoying. I've never put more than one record on the spindle at a time, so I could not tell you how well it does with multiples going through. What it doesn't do is fix damage. Skips from scratches aren't magically going to go away, but you will see them better because the record will be super clean.Be careful with the metal threaded spindle when removing the record and when using their wonky drying rack. Don't forget to remove the hard plastic overlapping separator label protector thing before pulling off the record (I did this twice, luckily the disc missed the record both times when falling into the vat.)Finally, you do not receive a metal basket, which would have been nice since I was wanting to use this for other items and will have to buy one separately. You should get a tiny spherical basket though.

The instructions are vague. Here's how.
This product does what it is advertised to do. Unfortunately, the instructions are vague. Through trial and error, I've found my best way to clean vinyl with this machine. Here are my instructions:1. Assemble the drying rack. 2 lower in the center, and 2 upper towards the outside edges. Do this first because you need to adjust it to the size of a 12" vinyl. It's easier to do this beforehand, rather than when you have a dripping wet vinyl.2. Add 20 drops of Groove Washer G•Sonic Ultrasonic Concentrate to 2 gallons of distilled water (10 drops per gallon).3. After assembling the vinyl spinner we will call it the spindle), lay it on its back so the spindle is pointing upwards. Place 4 plastic mounting plates on the spindle. Place your vinyl on the spindle. Place the last plastic mounting plate on the spindle. Place the plastic mounting ring on the spindle. Finally, thread the locking nut onto the spindle and tighten until vinyl is secure. Once secure, leave this assembly alone until after prepping the ultrasonic cleaner. NOTE: when loading multiple vinyl at once, place them in between the other plastic mounting plates.4. Pour 1 gallon of cleaning solution into the basin. Plug it in and flip the switch on the back of the ultrasonic cleaner. Turn your heating dial to 20-25 Celsius.5. Plug in the spindle. The vinyl should start spinning. Holding the motor of the spindle, lower the vinyl into the cleaning solution and hook the motor onto the side of the basin. NOTE: always submerge and/or remove the vinyl from the solution while it is still spinning to avoid excess cleaning solution from dripping and seeping under the plastic mounting plate, saturating the vinyl lable.6. Once the spindle is hooked to the side of the basin and the vinyl is spinning in the cleaning solution, carefully pour additional cleaning solution into the basin to submerge any remaining grooves.7. With the vinyl spinning in the appropriate amount of solution, and the heater turned on to the appropriate temperature, turn the timer dial to 30 minutes. This will turn on the ultrasonic cleaning.8. After the timer goes off, lift the spinning vinyl out of the basin by grabbing the spindle motor and carefully unhooking it from the side of the basin. Let the vinyl spin and drip for a moment, then lay the spindle motor on its back so the spindle is pointing upwards, and the vinyl is now horizontal. Unplug the spindle motor so the vinyl stops spinning. Unscrew the locking nut, remove the plastic locking ring, and plastic mounting plate. Transfer your vinyl to the drying rack.9. Let dry completely before playing. NOTE: with Groove Washer G•Sonic Ultrasonic Concentrate, it is not necessary to rinse your vinyl (according to their YouTube tutorial).I hope this helps.

WORKS GREAT!
WOW! LOVE IT! I'm a professional (online) vinyl dealer and have always wanted one, this actually made it affordable and it works great. My only complaint is that it now only comes with 5 spacers (enough to clean 4 records at a time) and I'd like to find 4 more. I've also read that it works even better if you can slow the device that spins the records so they spin more slowly through the water. Since it uses a different power supply than the ultrasonic device, it seems there's an adapter that can be purchased to provide a lower voltage (4.5 volts I think?) which effectively slows it. Would love to be able to buy that as well.
