Boulanger 20822-KIT Primed MDF V-Jointed Wainscot Kit, Including Chair Rails & Base Boards,

We have tall ceilings and this is the only wainscot kit I found that is taller than the standard 32 or 36 inches - it is currently installed and measures a bit over 40" tall. I was a little nervous purchasing this kit because of the lack of reviews, but I'm very glad I did. It is high quality and looks great.

I purchased two sets of the vjoint wainscoting kits to install in my office. The packages arrived undamaged and everything was in perfect condition except for a hairline fracture in one of the chair rail caps. I was a bit disappointed, but it was concealable with some sanding, glue & paint. This was my first time installing wainscoting, and I was really nervous. However, everything was straightforward after I did some online research on how to get the best results when installing this type of product. I used a piece of scrap wood and hammer to tap the pieces together. I checked each board to make sure the edges were aligned and nipped away any squished parts to make sure they fit together snugly. I really enjoyed that the baseboard and chair rail had a grove to have the panels sit in. Makes it look quite professional. (I did also place 1/2" tall wood moulding to raise the bottom so it sat a bit higher so the chair rail ended up flush with my window frame) The one thing I wish I had was a nail gun, as that would have made the process SO much faster. However, I got it done within a few days! I absolutely love the look of it once all completed & it took the paint I used very well. I would definitely use this in the other bedrooms if the price went down to it's original cost. I bought these for $130 a package previously. Now they're a bit too high out of my price range.

Love the kit but I can not get another one to finish. Company will not ship to US homeowners directly and will not give information on how to get another piece to finish project. Need one piece of trim. That is 4’6” long. Unacceptable that you cannot get a piece of wood to finish the project. Love product just need more.

Terrible, cheap product! When you try to put the slats together, they are so cheap that they get damaged!

The boxes aren't strong enough and they don't have the necessary corner bolsters, so all the corners will get a little damaged. So, plan on cutting each and every piece down by about 1". That means you lose 2" height and 2" length. And be SUPER careful handling it durin installation because the damage will continue if you are too rough with it.
