I am located in Qatar and the delivery was exceptionally fast, which in this case was very important - very impressive.

Great introduction to the endocrine system for the serious health sciences student. Very readable with just the right amount of depth and detail.

150ページにも満たない書籍。内分泌系の勉強用＋講義ネタ用に購入。英語自体は難解ではないが、医学用語は別途内科書籍で検索。・Lecture形式となっており、前回のまとめがLectureの最初のページにあるので内容確認ができる体裁となっている。・章末に簡単な問題と解答がある・検査方法、治療方法、治療薬の記載もあるので医学部生なら興味深く読めるのでは・単なる羅列ではなく、ホルモンの相互関係(フィードバック)や内分泌疾患の成り立ちに説明が割かれている・考えながら読み進められる病名の英語訳は単純暗記だったが、語源に遡って調べると、糖尿病と尿崩症に当てられた英語も興味深く思えてくる。まだ、Lecture3に入ったところなので、読後に評価を追加するかもしれません。※安くなっている(半額以下)時に購入したら、複数ページにわたりページの端が少々折れ曲がっている状態で届きました。全く読むことに支障がない状態なのにこんなに安くしてくれるなんて良心的です。他の本もどんどんやってくれと思います。

Very good book for a final year biomedical science student. I thought it was be more like "How the immune system works" which is also in this series. The other book has more of a crash course/help you understand it from the foundations - sort of feel. Which this book also achieves, but not as well.This book feels much more like a well explained textbook, whereas the other is sort of like having a friend explain it. At first I didn't like it being more textbook-y but after a couple of sessions I prefer it. I found I've supplements the other book with a separate textbook, whereas this feels enough on it's own.
