Leica V-Lux 5 - A truly fabulous, all-around camera!
I have always been a die-hard Canon camera user and never thought I would branch out to other brands, but this camera left me asking, "Why did I wait so long before buying this Leica camera?" I did research on the Leica website and was impressed with what I read. I was hesitant about buying a camera with only 20MP, but since I have no intention of printing pictures larger that 16" x 20," it was a great fit. Even if I end up taking a picture that I want to print to large format, I'm sure the picture will still look great, especially with today's technology. One of the main reasons I got this camera is for the zoom capability, which is amazing. I haven't taken advantage of all of the features, but this camera is easy to operate and truly is a great, all-around camera. I am finding that I am using it more than my other Canon camera in the short period of time I have had it. It is light-weight, easy to operate, and the focus is super fast! With one hand, it is easy to turn the camera off and on, zoom in and out, snap pictures and take video. Also, the video quality is excellent. I also like the fact that I can either use the eye piece or articulating LCD monitor interchangeably. As soon as your eye is detected near the eye piece, it activates it automatically. Then, when you pull away, the articulating LCD monitor activates. How awesome is that? It is very awesome if you ask me. If you are even thinking about getting this camera, make the decision to get it; I don't think you'll be disappointed. I am very glad I bought it!! Also, the additional items that are included in the Deluxe Bundle kit offered by 6ave are well suited to this camera and make getting the Camera bundle a slam dunk! I think you'll really enjoy the art of photography with this camera!

THIS IS MY FIRST LEICA CAMERA AND I STILL HAVE TO LEARN ALOT THAT IT CAN DO. AS FAR AS PICTURE QUALITY GOES AND EASE OF USE, I GIVE IT A 10/10. IM NOT A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER BY A LONG SHOT, BUT I CAN APPRECIATE A VALUE PRODUCT.JSM

Useful value for the money.
I got exactly what I expected … for a low price a useful utility camera.. not robust, but fitted out well with a decent lens. Fragile body, but mechanically sound. Battery charging is a little cumbersome but I’d you use a laptop computer every day it is not that challenging. Great camera set up for a beginner in digital photography.

First rate camera
I have used this camera extensively for landscape and wildlife photography for several months now and am very happy with it. Sharp pictures, easy to use, and the panache of the Leica brand. It also seems to be quite sturdy. During a mountain hike, I tripped on a root an fell with the Leica hanging from a strap around my neck. I managed not to fall directly on the camera, but it did hit ground hard enough to put a ding in the place where the filter screws onto the lens. Even so, the camera continues to work fine, so thanks to Leica construction I lucked out. As most people know, Panasonic makes Lumix models that parallel many of the Leica models and sell for half the price, so if cost is a big concern, you should check out the Lumix cameras first.
