This is excellent stuff. My favorite way to take it is to empty a bottle into a 64-oz pitcher, then fill with water. You end up with a very delicious and drinkable juice.

I have tried a few other brands of Elderberry Syrup before. They all tasted great (Like a berry pancake syrup), but none of them seemed to work. This stuff tastes very strong because it is a juice concentrate, not a syrup. This stuff actually works very well! I have 2 children and whenever 1 of them gets sick, it slowly gets passed between all four of us. With this stuff, the colds we do get are mild, and it prevents the colds from spreading to other family members. We don't take this stuff every day, just when one of us gets sick we all start taking it. Usually a cold will start in one of my children, they pass it to their sibling, the 2-year old passes it to me, and eventually, my husband will catch it as well. With this elderberry liquid, it seems to stop at the source. So whoever gets sick first, it ends with them. We have had 3 cold cycles since we began using this product. The first time, my oldest and my husband came down with something the same day. The toddler and I never caught it. The 2nd cold cycle, my oldest and I got sick at the same time. We all started the elderberry liquid again. My husband and our 2-year-old never caught it, and the oldest and I were completely better within 5 days (I am usually sick for weeks). Our colds never progressed passed our sinuses. No sore throat, no cough, just a stuffy nose. My kids are currently sick again. We were out of town when the oldest got sick so we didn't have the elderberry liquid with us. By the time we left to come home, the 2-year-old caught it. As soon as we made it home, we all started the elderberry liquid again. The oldest has been completely better after about a week with the cold, the youngest is still quite sick, but my husband and I are still completely healthy, even with the 2-year-old coughing right into my eyeballs and kissing me with snot all over her face. lol. I think this cold too will pass us I am so thankful for this product! I usually always catch whatever the kids get, and I am always so very sick when I do catch it between my asthma and not getting enough sleep. I will keep buying this stuff!

I have been using this for over a year now and really like this particular product! I first heard about elderberry syrup as an immune system boost from a pharmacist who I asked for a recommendation for something to help me get over the remnants of bronchitis and walking pneumonia. The product I bought at that drug store was expensive and had about 5 doses in it - mostly sugar. It seemed to work though because while my husband was fighting the same thing for weeks later, mine cleared up much sooner. It did send me on an Amazon search for something more economical and not so sugary, and this product by Now Foods is what I have been using ever since. This fits the bill on all levels - it has 47 doses and no sugar, yet it's very tasty (if you like tart which I do). I take it straight at the recommended dosage when I feel something coming on or when I've been around sickies - usually a couple of times a day. I hate to say it out loud (knocking on wood here) but I do seem to avoid a lot of sickness and when I do get something, it's usually short lived. I much prefer using a natural remedy when possible and I've even experimented with making my own tincture - with dried elderberries and alcohol. I still use this for convenience though and just because it tastes good! I highly recommend this elderberry concentrate and hope it helps you stay well also. Hope this was helpful :)

If you like tart, then go for it! This stuff is easy to swallow, like thin cough syrup that doesn't taste like cherry. The ingredients are pure, and it smells great. I drink 15ml a day, and for a month now I've been feeling better overall. I feel good, and the health benefits are worth it. This is the first thing I take in the morning. The manufacturer recommends taking this three times a day totalling 15ml, though personally I take 15ml at the start of the day; it hits your stomach hard but you get used to it.

I purchased this exact brand of elderberry syrup last year in a two pack. They finally ran out on me so I reordered this one, the single bottle. It looks exactly the same as the bottles I got before but it tastes AWFUL. I know this stuff is tangy and tart but slightly sweet... but this bottle has a horrible aftertaste that is nothing like the taste it had before. It’s earthy and bitter. Luckily they are replacing it for me free of charge so I will have to see if I got a bad bottle.
