I have popsockets and similar phone mounts in my 0csr, on shelves, tripods, guitar stands, speaker towers and generally any place I want to have my iPhone handy. I use them for hands-free phone use, Facetime and other video calls, and to use the front-facing camera for video recording. I've NEVER had a single one of these 3M adhesives fail. One caution , especially if you are going to mount one on your dashboard or a piece of furniture - any product containing silicone, wax, Armor-All and similar products, and oils MUST BE REMOVED! Many cleaners used on cars and furniture actually contain silicone or leave other contaminants behind, and these will not stick to such surfaces. I use "naphtha", a mild paint thinner-type solvent (Ronson lighter fluid - not charcoal lighter - is naphtha with a little color added and works great.) As I use it in musical instrument cleaning and repair I'm very familiar with it, and it will not damage MOST plastic or paint (or lacquer) finishes. But ALWAYS test on an inconspicuous spot first - and follow safety precautions, as it's flammable. And only use it on the spot you intend to attach something to. Naphtha is also great for removing residual adhesive if you remove one (also most sticker gunk!). But surfaces that have oil-based paint on them can be damaged by naphtha (and some by the adhesive itself). I spot-clean those with a small dab of chlorine bleach - 50% bleach and 50% water. And never stick one on a painted surface if you plan on removing it later! They'll easily peel most paint. Hope that provides a usable review and some usage tips that don't come in the package.

Okay, these replacement adhesive disks are really good. Not too thick or gummy, like some of them. They are good. With a caveat. You HAVE to follow the directions for these to work. If you don't they will fail every time, guaranteed. How to use for the best adhesion: Clean the back of your phone or smooth case thoroughly with alcohol and let it dry. Peel the cover off of the side indicated for your phone and stick it down where you want it to live. Gently but firmly press the round down for a minute or two. Now, peel off the top cover and adhere your Pop Socket base. Only the base. Again, gently but firmly press for a couple of minutes. (Press firmly but remember not to push so hard that you damage your phone.) Do not add the top part of your Pop Socket, yet. Leave the adhesive and base as it is for a FULL 48 HOURS. Don't get impatient and hurry this process. You have to wait the full 48. When the 48 hours are over, go ahead and add the top of your Pop Socket and enjoy it. Go a little easy on putting too much pressure on the Pop Socket for a few more days, if you can. I have a big, heavy phone and I thought that Pop Sockets were going to no longer work for me. Turns out, I wasn't using the adhesive properly because now, it's fine. I hope this helps.

This is probably the third or fourth time I'm buying these over the past 10 or so years. Extremely extremely strong and they hold no matter what. I don't think I've ever had one come off. I've given them to my husband and kids and use them for every single new phone case I get (which apparently is quite a lot LMAO) Highly suggest extremely good Bond!
