Great Build Quality and Easy to Install
This is a fantastic value for the money and works perfectly. I really like the size of the cooler because it allows for more fluid to be cooled and larger airflow potential. It looks great woth the black finish and dissapears once installed. It worked and fit perfectly into the Honda Accord I installed it in too! This thing is easily compatible with most vehicles and works great. I highly recommend picking one up for the quality and price!

Has lasted years, very effective
Installed on an Isuzu trooper. Its transmission temps fell dramatically. In the winter it’s almost too cold. Installation isn’t hard, just time consuming. Quality is awesome. Been on for years now.

Very cool...
Overall well made, easy to install, and works great! Keeps my 04 Jeep LJ transmission 30-40*F cooler than stock. I did use heavier mounting hardware to ensure it doesn't vibrate and cause a leak.

worked great
Worked great on my 2007 Grand Cherokee. Pulled an enclosed trailer cross county and over the mountains several times. Kept My transmission temp nice between 180 and 195 almost all the time. I hit maybe 205 once going over the mountain on a 90+ degree day running 75 -80. In fact The vehicle would overheat ie radiator before the trans would so no worries about the trans getting to hot.

2003 Chevy 2500HD
Great alternative to the Mishimoto universal coolers. Significantly cheaper but still great quality. Dozens of fake Mishimoto coolers on Amazon (40k GVW ones) for less than half the price but come with the risk of destroying the trans when they blow out on the highway. Was pretty easy to install just used old horn brackets I had laying around. Drilled some holes in the lower cross member after I moved it down 3 inches with horn brackets and modified the ambient air temp sensor mount to face forward but oriented upside down. Trimmed the trans cooler line about 4 inches with a brake line cutter and did a slight flare on it with a brake line flare kit. Used oetiker style clamps with 2 inch sections of cooler line. Trans is running at least 15-20 degrees cooler than it was with the factory cooler. Can't beat it for the money. If you are looking for something more professional get the Mishimoto cooler specifically designed for the gmt800/900 series trucks. It's $400 but installs the easiest with no modifications required.

Hayden 679 cooler
I installed a Hayden 679 trans cooler on a 2011 Toyota 4runner SR5. a couple weeks ago I drove interstate 10 from LA California to Tuscon. The transmission reached temperatures as high as 210 d F. ambient temp was only in the 90 d F. I was not real familiar with the 4runner and read where one needs to shift into gear 4 on hills. I was testing it out for how it would react to hills. I did not like the temperatures I saw on a not so hot day. I used the locking zip ties that Hayden provided and installed it on the AC condenser through the radiator. I had to use 8 feet of hose which 4 feet was provided. It required the removal of the whole front grill and bumper of the 4runner. There is a horizontal cross member going across the condenser and I was able to install the Hayden cooler behind this. No extra room. Only thing that was questionable was how much trans fluid would be needed. I added a little more than a pint and had to remove maybe .5 pint. After installing the cooler when starting the 4runner to check fluid level the morning morning was 56 d F. I could not get the 4runner to warm up to temperature. I covered up the trans cooler and it still would not warm up. I finally idled it about 2200 rpm and it just made temp. The radiator temp was around 190 d F. I did connect the Hayden to the output of the radiator trans cooler. Hopefully this helps someone. A 2011 4runner is considered a 5th gen. I do not know if they are all made exactly the same in later years. I will now have to see how it does on a long trip. I just installed it and do not have any trip time on it. I can not comment on how it will work other than what I mention above. I do know after several years(4-5) the zip ties heat and weather deteriorate and will need replaced. It was not difficult to install, just took some time I spent about 1.5 days doing the install trying to come up with a good way to install it.
