I'm never not having this around again.
I'm never not having this around again. It heals chapped lips so fast and is mild and soothing no matter what your deal is. And it's improving my face already more than any other face moisturizer I've tried. I used to layer vaseline or Aquaphor over moisturizer when my skin got really dry, but this works *so* much better it's crazy, and actually improves the skin underneath rather than just covering it. Come winter time, it'll be perfect for putting on noses and checks to protect against biting winds. This is more penetrating and less occlusive than Aquaphor, so it's fine to use alone or as a top layer. Update: Still in love with this! After a minor medical procedure my skin got very irritated by the adhesive from the bandage, and this is the only thing that made it feel better and start healing.

Great product
Today I got Vaniply Ointment and just started using it. Recently I was diagnosed with a skin allergy for which my upper side of upper lip became very dry and I was facing burning sensation, the skin also became whitish (dull and chipped). Doctor gave me some sample tube (Vaniply ointment for sensitive skin) with other medications and instrusted to apply it every half an hour gap and I really felt better after using it. Few days back my sample got over and I ordered it. I want to mention that this is not the sensitive one (which doctor gave me as sample) as the sensitive one has 1% Dimenthicone. But till now I am happy with my purchase. After using it, I felt my skin is moisturized. I didn't feel any uncomfortableness till now (though it is not sensitive one). There is no smell so that is another positive thing. At this time, I am really not sure if it will work for sensitive skin or not. But I do have sensitive skin (I already mentioned that I was diagnosed with skin allergy), till now I didn't face any issue. Let's see after some days, how it goes.

Non-greasy emollient & occlusive
I have dry, sensitive skin - actually, it's DEHYDRATED skin according to my dermatologist. Winter makes it 100x worse, thanks to the low humidity and frigid temperatures. Typically, I use non-soap cleansers (Albolene at night, water-only in the morning). At night, I use a thin layer of Eucerin's Original Healing Soothing Repair Creme. It's extremely rich, but very thick, hard to spread, and greasy. Perfect for nighttime, but not so much when facing the general public. It's also the best foot cream I've ever used, and one big jar is like a lifetime supply since you need such a tiny amount. I'd also tried Vaseline, but couldn't get past the faint petroleum smell, and the texture was absolutely awful. Obviously the slug life is not for me. In the morning, I was using a thin layer of Aquaphor to seal in moisture. I liked the results, but no matter how thin a layer I applied, I still had more shine and greasiness than I would like. I then started using Elta MD Intense Moisturizer, which is basically just petrolatum & paraffin. It melts into the skin, goes on smooth, and doesn't leave a noticeable sheen. I love the way it looks and feels, but it just didn't seem moisturizing enough. Enter Vaniply. I already use Vanicream moisturizer as an all-over body moisturizer and was given a sample of Vaniply from my dermatologist. It's an ointment, much like Aquaphor, but isn't petroleum-based. The active ingredient is dimethicone (1%), which is a great occlusive for sealing in moisture (Gold Bond also contains dimethicone). The ointment is opaque, rather than clear like Aquaphor and glides on smoothly. Unlike Aquaphor or Vaseline, the Vaniply seems to absorb/dry quickly, leaving the skin smooth, supple and soft, with a matte appearance. I haven't had any issues with breakouts, clogged pores or milia, even though my skin is so very sensitive. I like to apply the Vaniply over slightly damp skin, or over a thin layer of Vanicream if in need of extra moisture. It also works great on dry, chapped lips, but I prefer Aquaphor. Vaniply is impossible to find in stores, so you'll most likely need to order it online. A little goes a long way!

This ointment has saved my face!!!
This ointment saved my face!! I have extremely dry skin, flakes off all the time on my face--that all said, I have used this for 2 weeks, only using just a tiny bit on my forhead, cheeks, nose and lip area. It has totally calmed my face down and feels so soothing after I used it for a couple of days. It is a total game changer in my book--you have to try it to believe it, and no I'm not getting anything to say that. It truly does work and I will be using it for a long time to come!! Most people only use a product for a day or two and if they don't see any difference they quit and say it doesn't work--give this 1 to 2 weeks (maybe longer for some if it's really bad) and see if you don't feel and see a difference--it has saved my face!! I also have adult acne which it has not so far caused or not caused--double win!!! : )
