beyerdynamicのヘッドホンですが、DT1990/1770にわざわざ二種類のパッドが付属することからも分かるように、イヤーパッドの表面生地やフォームの材質、ドライバ側の通気口によって細かなバランスを調整しています。 特にT1やDT1990のような開放型のモデルの場合は通気性の良いパッドの使用が前提のチューニングがされています。 本製品の場合、シープスキンでもスエードでもドライバ側の接触面が合皮で完全に塞がれた設計のため、開放型のモデルに使用した場合は音抜けが大幅に悪化します。低音過多、高音が大幅に減衰するとともに、イヤーパッドによる変な反響音が加わってくる事でサウンドバランスが大幅に乱れます。 DT1770やT5といった密閉型モデルの場合、純正のパッドもほぼ通気口を備えてないない設計のため、こうしたマイナス面をほとんど考慮することなく純正感覚で使用できます。 DT1770に使用していますが、音質は純正とほぼ変わらず。逆にクッション性の高いパッドによって装着感は頗る快適になります。

What a change these pads make! I can listen to my DT1990s for longer periods of time. For the first time since I got them, the 1990s can do more than just pick out faults in mixes. Even more bass and just the right amount of treble while taming the Beyer peaks that used to wear out my ears. DT 1990s are finally brought to life in the most pleasing way and ready to act as daily drivers. My five-star daily driver setup: Beyerdynamic DT 1990 (Generation 1, 250 ohm) powered by Chord Mojo 2. And these pads look better than the stock ones.

I love these pads, I now have better isolation and the bass and treble have been toned down on the MMX 300 Pro. The downside is that they’re a warm pad, I am willing to over look that since these pads really bring these cans to life.
