Can someone confirm: if my portafilter (coffee holder) weighs 520g and I tare that, I'm only going to get .5g resolution for any coffee I add?

Hi, the increments are based on weight 0.1g (0.3~500g), 0.5g (501~1000g), and 1.0g (1001~3000g) For this case. When you put a 520g coffee holder on it and begin to pour over, that will be 0.5g. When you put a 520g coffee holder on it and pour over after tare, that will be 0.1g. I'll show you on the video. Why should I weigh the coffee instead of just adding it in?

Yep, that's what I do. Also fwiw I'm extremely happy with this scale for coffee, so far it has been as reliable and accurate as my friend's acaia. Side by side the kitchentour is within 0.1g of the acaia and measures my macchiato cups dead on the same weight every time, even between power cycles.
