Filters for PetSafe Drinkwell Avalon, Pagoda, Sedona & Seascape Fountains, 12-Pack

I am using these with the Drinkwell Pagoda. They fit perfectly fine and look the same.The original drinkwell ones I bought at the store and here on amazon worked well. We inspected them each week to make sure nothing was gross and replaced them every other week. Unfortunately, these barely last a single week before the charcoal gets too compacted and water will barely flow through the fountain, which I'm sure isn't good for the pump. I can disassemble the fountain and shake up the filter, but this only lasts a day or so. They were cheap, but not by much and I get half the life out of them. Would not get again.

WARNING!!!!! Do not buy. These clog and stop your fountain stream in 2-3 days. I don't know what is inside these but it leaves a terrible black oily powdery substance in the fountain that can not be good for the cats. Use these and you will make your cats sick and/or burn up your fountain. AVOID these like the PLAGUE. I mean it. This was a terrible purchase and mistake. These are garbage.

I agree with all of the reviews regarding a poor product. Since I purchased my 12 count filter pack in May, I have used almost all of them. They DO NOT last. I find myself constantly changing the filters after 3-4 days. The filter somehow clogs and stops the pump from pushing the water through. I then take apart the components, clean, replace the filter and try again. Only to have the unit malfunction within days. I believe these filters are highly inferior and are a cheap knock-off. In the end it will cost me more money buying these cheap filters. DON'T waist your money!

Exactly the same as the name brand but way less expensive, and less packaging to dispose of!UPDATE: 7/11/17- So, after using these filters for a few months I have found that they do not work as well as the name brand ones. They start out working fine, but then seem to produce more of the charcoal byproduct that gets around the rim no matter how long I rinse them for. (And, I have two fountains so I've tried different methods and nothings seems to make a difference.) Then, after a very short time the fountains go from running fine to a very slow trickle. It's very frustrating. I won't be purchasing another package of these. It's too bad. I appreciated the price break as well as them having less packaging to put into the environment.

Don’t last as long as the orginal replacements. No idea why but I clean and put apart EVERY piece on the pump and clean all with a toothpick and qtips. Still didn’t last a week in each drinkwell fountain we own. Stay away. Yo won’t save any money buying this product

Filters make both of my cats vomit excessively. Didn't immediately connect. First day came home to 7 messes, thought it was just one of them, discovered it was both cats the next morning. Neither one could keep down food or water for nearly a week. Took one of them into the vet not sure what the issue was. $264 later. Filters only last about a week, and even with extensive rinsing, large cloud of charcoal when the pump initially kicks in. Replaced the second filter and that was my first indication it may be the cause - they both vomited, but not as bad as the first time. It seems to get better as the filter is used more. I cautiously used a third filter this am - came home to more messes.Not worth the money saved, use the real deal.

We purchased the PetSafe Pagoda pet fountain and one filter came with it. It lasted a little over 4 months. I purchased these filters, thinking they were exact replacements, but they are not the same brand. They fit fine but only lasted about 2 weeks. After emailing the manufacturer, I was told that they have heard this before but most filters last a month. Even a month is only 25% of the time the original filters lasted so they are not worth the money. I would not buy these again, nor would I recommend them to anyone else.

These used to be fine. I would order them regularly and had no issues. But about a year ago (give or take), the product changed, and the charcoal inside is so dense that water cannot flow through them normally. I just replaced a filter and water is only dripping through, not flowing through as it should. If you get lucky you’ll get one that will work for a couple of days but then start to clog. Previously, you could shake one and hear the charcoal rattling inside. Now when you shake one, nothing inside moves. Clearly this is not the same product and the new version is defective. It does NOT work properly. I’m going to have to buy a new fountain because of this - I don’t know where else to buy replacement filters. Frustrating.
