I have very sensitive skin and a lot of allergies to skin products, so I am always a little hesitant to try something new. I decided to try Blue Lizard since they use minerals for sunscreen instead of chemicals. I was thrilled with how well this product worked and I had no problems with sunburn on a recent Bahamas cruise I went on. I will be buying more Blue Lizard products.

This sunscreen has worked well for me and I like that it is a mineral formula. The main thing to know is that it can take a little effort to rub in fully so you do not see it on your skin, but I do not consider that a major problem. That is pretty normal with many mineral sunscreens, and I would rather deal with that than use something that does not agree with my skin. Once applied, I have been happy with it and have no real complaints. Overall, it has been a good face sunscreen for me.

This works well but is not ideal if you want to wear under makeup. It has a very oily consistency. Price is good.

I liked this product because it does the job- mineral sun protection without a white caste, BUT I use this daily and my skin is for sure greasy looking from start to finish. When I use a powder foundation on top of it, it definitely helps but still leaves a heavy feel. The plus side is that I have acne prone skin, and this sunscreen hasn't broken me out. So I guess it is non-comedegenic, or at least doesn't clog pores to the point of break outs!

Went to sonora for 8 days hunting on tough conditions and my skin is good to get back to work! It is a dense cream but you will appreciate the protection. I have sensitive eyes and this product did not irritate my eyes or skin. Very nice and recommended

This is a very nice mineral sunscreen.One of the main things that I struggle with when I put on facial sunscreen is that it burns the heck out of my eyes and leaves them bloodshot! I switched to this one from the aveeno protect hydrate 60 spf hoping that I would not have that same issue. This sunscreen does not burn my eyes! Even when I am washing it off at the end of the day, it does not burn which is great! So if you are looking for a sunscreen that does not burn your eyes, this is it! As far as coverage goes, it does leave a white cast upon application but after a few minutes of rubbing it in, it blends in well with the skin. The sunscreen has a very runny consistency, so it is easy to spread. It gives your face a shiny look that can look oily, but I don't mind that. So far, I have not seen any new blemishes from using this sunscreen. My skin feels smooth. I have only been using this sunscreen for about a week so it could change. I think the only off-putting thing about it is the smell. It smells kind of like glue or playdough. It's not super overpowering but you definitely get a whiff of it every so often throughout the day. Other than that, this sunscreen is great! Definitely recommend!

This product doesn't burn my eyes. That is a huge plus for me because I have a hard time finding products which doesn't irritate my eyes . Easy to apply but I feel it is greasy . I feel like I need powder foundation to remove the greasiness.

As a skincare junkie, I always wonder if I was stuck somewhere and could only use one product the rest of my life, which one would I choose? After using Blue Lizard for a few years now, and finding this particular version, and using it now for a year, I can say it is THIS product. I'm pale, prone to melasma and very photo sensitive. This lotion makes me glow, brightens my face and makes me look younger. I can see how some would feel it's not good with makeup, etc. But I don't wear much makeup - I use this, then apply some mineral sunscreen powder, especially under my eyes, so I can wear mascara, otherwise, yes, this lotion will help the mascara bleed a bit. If you have darker skin tones I can also see this might not blend well, but if you have aging, dulling pale skin, this is a glow maker! I. Love. It! And no, I get zero of the typical zinc oxide clown make-up appearance; it blends right into my skin. Reading the ingredient list just makes me love it more - natural anti aging and moisturizing extracts mean this lotion works double duty to not only protect from further damage, but heal past sun damage and provide an excellent moisture barrier. Please Blue Lizard, do not EVER stop making this product - us vampires NEED it!!

Very little white cast on darker skin tones. The white cast will “melt” into your skin after an hour of wear. Very good for those who need a mineral sunscreen but are worried about white cast due to highly delaminated skin tones

I am a fan of Blue Lizard brand. But the packaging for item is questionable.
