The lives of nurses, doctors, and patients of a city hospital get turned upside-down: A nurse discovers the doctor she's fooling around with is married; a faithful husband is diagnosed with a sexually transmitted disease; the son of a nurse abandoned by her husband seeks desperate means to make money; and audience favorite Mr. Brown (David Mann), who's appeared in other Perry plays, comes to the hospital convinced that he's dying, dragging his long-suffering daughter Cora (Tamela Mann) along with him. What's Done in the Dark... is a production of a play, filmed before a live audience, so it doesn't have the visual dynamics of a movie, but the full-tilt, show-stopping gospel songs wouldn't have the same unbridled exuberance anywhere but on the stage. Perry's writing is rarely subtle, but What's Done in the Dark... is broader than usual--even longtime fans may find the cartoonish Nurse Trudy (D'Atra Hicks) a bit hard to take. Nonetheless, the play continues Perry's devotion to themes of love, respect, and the grace of God, as well as providing health information for the African-American community. And Mr. Brown, in his jarringly colorful clothes and silly malaprops, is a topnotch buffoon. Very Funny and Entertaining
I highly recommend this DVD for any fan of Tyler Perry and of course Mr Brown himself. Mr Brown delivers a very comical performance and i died laughing for the entire play. This DVD came in brand new condition and I had a great time engaging with the story. Tyler Perry delivers another masterpiece.

Great Play, as Ususal
I love TP's plays - Haven't seen a dud yet! This one was great, in that it covered so many issues, and made me laugh till I cried. Mr. Payne still reminds me of a cross of Redd Foxx and Flip Wilson - which is totally a compliment! And Cora as a cheerleader? Too funny! I have bought several copies of this play and given it as gifts for my friends. It really is that good.

wonderful play!
All Tyler Perry plays are a must, but this one took it to a whole other level. The comedy held within was hysterical, making you laugh until it hurt. The life leading, influential messages open your eyes and shed light on things that happen in everyday life. It touches every emotion, and let's face it, can't get enough of Mister brown lol! Please watch and enjoy!!

AGAIN ANOTHER ONE OF TYLER PERRY'S WONDERFUL PLAYS. HE IS JUST SO TALENTED, AND TO THINK THAT ALOT OF HIS IDEAS COME FROM ACTUAL FAMILY MEMBERS, THAT IS HOW THEY REALLY ACT, AND HE'S BEEN ABLE TO ADAPT THEIR CHARACTER'S INTO HIS PLAYS AND HIS MOVIES. GREAT ENTERTAINMENT, MAKES YOU CRY, AND LAUGH FROM ONE MINUTE TO THE NEXT, AND LORD HELP YOU WHEN HE PERFORMS AS "MADIA"...NOW SHE IS BASED ON HIS REAL LIFE AUNT, INCLUDING THE VOICE, "REMARKABLE ENTERTAINMENT"

the best tape to me is Madea gets a jod the play because at the end Tyler Perry and his actors and his band throw down and give the people in th ATL a concert that was out of this world if you don't it .RUSH AND I MEAN RUSH TO ORDER IT OR GO BUY IT. I wish he would do a concert after every show.. They hit Frankie Beverly , the O'jays ,New Edition. Earth ,Wind & Fire and many many more. I hope these notes hit his desk somewhere. n ew ew a

I'm glad I decided to buy it!!!!!
When it came to Memphis in 2006, my play sister and I went to see it. Because the people sitting right behind us (a couple of course) talked and argued just about the whole play, we couldn't hardly hear and had just lost interest in the play. I ordered the play last week and got it yesterday. I went home and watched it and laughed sooooooo hard and got the many messages Tyler Perry wants us to get from it. It's enlightening and funny. This won't be a waste of your money. I can't wait to share and watch it with my family this weekend.

Awesome and Funny
Absolutely love this movie it's in the greatest condition not a scratch and it's funny it's just like the movie we had

If you are ready for a laugh out loud moment, then you will appreciate the show. Like all Tyler Perry films, there is an underlying message of God, Faith and Family. For those not familiar with the American culture, you might not be familiar with some of the jokes. However, there is always a strong, positive or storyline. Enjoy and laugh your head off.

Very good play from Mr. Perry. Very inspriational and uplifting. Great to watch with the girlfriends, lots of laughs. Would recommend.

He did it again mr brown is so funny loved the story line my only problem was it didn't work on my sons xbox or my normal dvd plyer but we did watch it eventually

If you want cheering up and have a group of friends you want to do this with, then Tyler's dvd's are the ideal solution. Thanks Tyler Perry. You did it again.
