Nice slimline unit surprisingly quiet as we were expecting it to be noisy because of other reviews, good selection of options. Using the cool blocks definately gave a chilling effect not enough to reduce the room temperature greatly but we fell asleep easily with our room at 27.8 because it provided a gentle cooling breeze and was not noisy. Set it to turn off at 4am, windows and doors shut but the room was quite warm when we woke at 7am. Going to test it tonight with windows and doors open and leave running. It was easy to assembly, nothing to do really. Happy with item, no delivery issues. So very happy with purchase overall.

This is a great product, I would say best fan I've ever bought. The cooling system is brilliant, exactly what we were looking for. Highly recommended, great value for money, so easy to move around the house, easy to use, the timer works great.

I live in a modern south facing house which can get very hot upstairs. In previous summers I've attempted to cool my bedroom by dragging my 40kg air conditioner unit upstairs which was very cumbersome or using a fan which, as we know, don't work at all. I thought I'd give the air cooler a try.It's easy enough to use after a quick flick through the manual. Put some water in the tank, add the included ice packs and I also put some ice cubes in.Does it work? Well, when sat in front of it, it's very cool, fresh and pleasant air which is definitely better than a normal fan. In terms of cooling a room, I tend to turn it on an hour before I go to bed with the door closed. It seems to knock 1.5-2 degrees off the bedroom temperature. It certainly takes the edge off a hot sticky night but don't expect miracles.

Highly recommend for really cool air on a very hot day

The fan arrived next day during the hotest days so thank you Amazon. It was easy to take it out of the box and get it started. It has a large 5 litre water tank which is excellent. It is quite powerful and relatively quiet and throws out a lot of cool air. It does work like an air conditioner when you put the ice packs or lot of ice in the water tank. It comes with two good ice packs but they need changing every hour and so I suggest you keep some more ice packs in reserve. I bought two for my house and later on another one for my daughter. This product is of very high quality and excellent in use and quite cheap for what it is. Every house without installed air conditioning should have this product. This is air conditioning on the cheap, versatile and quickly installed.

I've got a normal desk fan & wanted something better for these hot days that we are having so I bought this Netta 5L new generation 3 in 1 air cooler thinking that it would cool my living room down but after having it on with the iced water for over 2hrs I found that it was no different to my standard desk fan of which cost a 3rd of the price plus I found this air cooler to be very loud.As I'm not happy with the product at all I'm returning it & getting a refund but at a cost as the company will not send a prepaid returns label as they said that the unit is not faulty so now I've got to pay for the return.I urge to to think twice about buying this unit, it's loud, it's bulky, it's not worth the money & the customer service is not very good. 😭

It’s decent enough and cools us down at hot summer nights.However, the plastic container for ice and water creates a soggy, yellow fluid after each usage, and hence needs to be thoroughly cleaned every single day.

This fan is a lifesaver. I use a mesh office chair, and work in a room that's often 5-10C warmer than the outside. By positioning this fan a few meters behind the air pointed at my back, I'm able to cool enough of my body so that I rarely feel uncomfortably hot even during these recent heat waves. At night, it's around 1 meter from the side of bed, set to minimum speed with oscillation enabled - this helps me not feel completely exhausted from the heat when waking up.I originally hoped this was a misting fan, but having use this for a few days now, I'm glad it's not. The hydration mode helps reduce sinuses drying out (especially when sleeping), but by not being a mister, it means that you're not getting massive drops accumulating on the surrounding environment (e.g. walls). It also means that you don't have to worry about any ultrasonic misting elements burning out due to lack of water (as is common with misting fans).I'll say that the ice packs don't seem to do much to reduce the temperature, but considering how effective it is without them, I'd argue that they're unnecessary. A better option would be to use 1L of chilled water and fill the remaining amount of space with ice cubes - that would be incredible if you are keeping your windows and doors closed and want to lower the ambient temperature of the room.Speaking of water, I can say that over the course of 8 hours, this fan uses approximately 1 to 1.5 litres during cooler temperatures (e.g. at night) and approximately 2 to 2.5 litres during warmer temperatures (e.g. during daytime). Essentially, filling it once per day is more than sufficient and you absolutely don't need to worry about running out of water while sleeping.One important note: If you are using the humidifier / hydration mode, you should ensure you refresh the air in the room at least every few hours as it's entirely possible to hit over 70% humidity if you don't. This could lead to mould growth and may make the room feel uncomfortable.Overall, an incredible fan, and highly recommended.
