Dan Verssen Games B-17 Flying Fortress Leader: Expansion 1

I bought this along with the main game in the hopes that the new material added significantly to the base game. I knew in advance what was in the expansion, however upon integrating it after becoming familiar I feel the new content adds little personally. The new counters are helpful, that is the chief benefit (such as the 3SO version of the M30s). The ETO whole war campaign card omits key information such as starting SO points, and seems to have been put together without complete testing. There are some new group cards which clear up a few tidbits. Overall I felt underwhelmed, and would suggest you play the base game through at least once before deciding on the expansion.So what would I like to have seen? A SO/VP track with greatly higher chart range. More work into the Group airfield cards - they seem like more fluff instead of substance. More depth in the Event cards (too many events repeat).
