Worked great for NVR board to SATA drive power connection
Worked great for connecting power from the board of my Surveillance Camera NVR to my SATA drive power connection.

Saved the Day on SSD Upgrade for an HP Desktop
I wanted to replace the mechanical hard drive in my grandmother's HP Desktop with an SSD. Little did I know HP essentially uses a laptop style board in a huge desktop case. The machine was pretty bare bones inside, including only enough internal power connectors for one SATA hard drive and one optical drive using a 4 PIN power connector. I was able to use this adapter cable with the existing optical drive power cable in order to clone the original drive to an SSD. Once the clone was complete I was able to restore the original power connections.
