They never disappoint
This is my fourth pair of Sperrys and they always fit correctly, are cute and sturdy and comfortable, a great shoe that will probably last forever and I can wear with just about anything.

Sperry Angelfish is an excellent choice
They were kind of tight at first but the more I wore them the better they fitted. The leather looks and feels very nice and the insole is very comfy. In summary, I would say they are very comfortable shoes that run true to size (size 9)

Classic boat shoe that will never go out of style
This shoe ticks all the boxes for me. I’ve been wanting them for years and I’m glad I finally pulled the trigger. Comfortable immediately out of the box with great support. It’s perfect for us short girls (5ft) because it has a shorter vamp than most trendy boat shoes on the market. It works for business casual and just casual wear. Super happy with my purchase.

First pair of Sperry's
I am so glad I bought these shoes. I think they are cute, I can wear them three seasons out of the year with pants or shorts, and because of the color I got (linen/oat) they go with everything. I had originally gotten them just for work, but they have become my go-to shoes and I wear them nearly daily. When I first got them in May, these shoes were *so* comfortable. I have literally never worn a more comfortable pair of shoes. The padding inside made it feel like I was walking on a pillow. Also, I'm flat footed, so I have a lot of issues when I wear shoes without inserted arch supports, but these haven't needed them and I've had no pain. I can work a 5 hour shift on my feet in these and feel totally fine when I get out of work. I love these shoes. However, they do have drawbacks that disappointed me, especially for the price I paid. 1) When I first got them, they tore my feet up. The breaking-in period lasts for about two weeks of frequent wear, and it's tough. They cut into the backs of my ankles and did make them bleed, and they rubbed hard on my pinky toes, causing blisters. (To be honest, they stilll rub my pinky toes pretty roughly, but I don't get the blisters anymore. I didn't order a wide, but I probably should have and I imagine that would have helped alleviate a lot of the rubbing.) 2) The laces have come untied. I thought they were stitched into position because these shoes are slip-ons and the laces are really just for show, but apparently not because my left lace came untied just a month after purchasing these, and my right lace came untied 4 months after purchasing. And you cannot retie these laces to look the same as they did, and they will not stay tied even if you could. 3) I bought these with the intent to wear them for a very long time. I was tired of spending $15 on a shoe that would disintegrate by the end of the season, so I sucked it up and spent more n a shoe I thought would be more durable. And these are more durable, for sure, but not by a terribly large amount. I've had these shoes for about 6 months now and the insides are shredding. I admit I wear them nearly everyday, so they've endured a lot of wear, but I still expected a little more. The heel pad has been worn out so I no longer feel so much like I'm walking on a pillow, and the pads inside the shoes have started to tear. Also, the lining inside the shoes has just recently begun to come unattached from the shoe. When I pull my foot out, the lining will come away with my foot just a little bit right now, but I'm sure it will be able to come all the way out in a month. I had hoped I'd have longer with them before this happened. 4) I thought boat shoes were supposed to be able to grip wet ground? Maybe not? I wore these in the rain once and my feet couldn't get any traction and came right out from under me. I no longer wear these if the ground is wet. I do love these shoes, though. They are comfortable, even with the drawbacks, and I've gotten lots of compliments on them. They are worth purchasing, but I'm just not sure if they're worth the price.

I LOVE sperrys!!
My daughter got me hooked on these, after I initially had my doubts about the shoes. They are my absolute favorite shoes to wear now! Let me just give you first-time Sperry wearers some tips, though. Yes, you will get blisters when you first wear them. It's happened to almost everyone I know who wear them. It's sort of like breaking them in. I remember complaining to my daughter about this, and asking how in the heck she can wear them. She assured me that if I gave it a day or two (and wore a bandaid), I wouldn't have any problems after. I know that sounds like some insane ritual to wear a pair of shoes, but it worked. Now, they're extremely comfortable. They are a bit narrow though, but my other daughter with very wide feet hasn't had any issues with this specific style. I think I bumped her up 1/2 a size, however, and they fit her perfectly. That said, I wanted to mention that there are some inconsistencies with Amazon's stock of Sperrys. I've ordered a few now, and never had any issues until just recently. -The shoes arrived with different "Sperry" stamps on the back of the heel. One literally looked like it was engraved and stamped, but partially crooked and faded. The other shoe's stamp was darker and looked more typical of a Sperry logo. I'm not sure if I was sent knock offs (or just one knock off?), or just a defective pair? Whichever the case, Amazon was great with sending a replacement, and that pair is perfect. The shoebox lid was really dusty, which is kind of odd, but the shoes were in perfect condition (Even have the plastic shoehorns inside the shoes), so I can't complain. Highly recommend these with the tips mentioned. Trust me, if you do get a blister, put a bandaid on, and hang tight. You just gotta break 'em in.

Defective
We purchased the Sperry Angelfish on September 7, 2025 from Amazon. Not even 2 months later, my daughter's lace ripped on one of the shoes. It literally just fell apart, completely defective. This is our first time purchasing from Amazon, as we have usually bought in-store or directly from the Sperry website. We've used Sperry for years for multiple family members, as they're one of the required shoe styles for my kids' private school. This is the first pair we've ever had where the laces ripped. They stay tied and my daughter just slips in and out of them, so I'm not sure how this even happens other than the shoe is defective The shoes are expensive and it seems ridiculous to purchase another pair before 2 months is even up. Usually these shoes last us 2-3 years! The quality must have REALLY gone downhill for them to fall apart so easily. All she does while wearing them is sit at a desk and she only wears the shoes to school. We have contacted the brand to see if anything can be done, even just sending laces for us to re-thread. I will come back to update, as their response will dictate if we ever purchase from them again. Edit - Brand responded quickly and was unwilling to even send an extra lace for us to rethread on our own. I will never buy Sperry again.
