Get it! Brighter than newer models, with better sound too!
Second one! Had this model for a few years when it died after *intensive* daily use. Bright-ish, great sound, great image, good keystone adjustment. We have tried several other projectors under &1k and this is still our favorite one, with great internal sound and very little fan noise even after prolonged use. We're using it with a 4k amazon stick so we can have Netflix (this projector's OS cannot install netflix anymore, blame netflix). If you don't use netflix, you really don't need the amazon stick. All other TV apps work for us. PS Tried another, newer, portable, can-sized "laser" projector from this brand but to my surprise it was much LESS bright, didn't sound great and overheated. This older projector blows it out of the water.

Smudge on lens
When I received the projector today, it looked flawless. There were no marks that I could visibly see. After using the projector for a few minutes, I noticed that the lens itself had a smudge that was unreachable for me to clean because it was protected by another piece of glass as a barrier. It was given to me as renewed and the description of buying a renewed projector says it was to be cleaned professionally. Except, that was not the case for me. Unfortunately, if I return the product, I cannot request an exchange and if I return the product I bought, I lose a $50 coupon that I wish to receive to pay for the same product I was to receive. This process just makes it more difficult and if I cannot receive the product I was asked for, I suppose Anker lost a loyal customer :/

Even as a refurb
Not bad 1080p screen, excellent sound, and had Android compatibility. Bad; limited storage; will need to add expansion storage. Projected light is large, but the image is keystoned and fitted in field of view Built apps, are limited, with only mobile Netflix workable. Not sure how to root to try alternate apps sideloaded. Comes with a camera for added use for videocalls but have yet used. Most games are not playable without storage and game controller

Poor product quality and support
We purchased this projector to replace our main TV in January. After a bit over half year of used, it shutdown by itself yesterday. I reached out to the Anker support as well as the Amazon support. Amazon support throws the issue back to Anker’s support and Anker’s support is not helping at all. Long story short, I reported that the device wouldn’t power on and Anker’s support told me that it could be just a back power supply which asked me to send an email to their support thread and get a link to purchase a new power supply. I specifically ask what if the issue is not power supply?! They said unfortunately they cannot do anything. They didn’t even what to provide a repair option to the customer. All they asked me to do is you will need to purchase a new one if the power supply doesn’t work. Another funny thing is they don’t even have a direct link to purchase any of their accessories, so they asked me to send them money through PayPal and inform them I have paid for the accessories. What a SCAM. This projector is $600 and it won’t even survive for a year?! What a joke.

Great for nights in the back yard.
Used it a few times now and its great. Picture is Very clear and sounds good too. Of course your choice of screen plays a big part. I google cast from my smartphone the Majority of the time and a little Netflix via the on board app and in both cases the video and sound quality was very stable with no interruptions. I have nothing bad to say.

Excellent and short lived mid tier projector
Update (2 stars now): Projector was great while it lasted. The autofocus camera works 1 out of 15 restarts now. There is no manual focus option so project is unusable most of the time. I expect a projector to last more than 2 years with light usage (I used it maybe 6 hours a month) Original (5 star review): The image is sharp and crisp. Auto-focus is surprisingly helpful. Audio works well for a small to mid-size room. The projector works well inside unless near a large window. The only downside is that Netflix doesn't support the device directly (not a projector issue, a Netflix issue). Make sure to install the Nebula Manager app if you want to use Netflix.

I expected better then this
I like the semi quality of this but from reviews and video reviews I thought this was gonna be the best projector I could’ve come across being one of the least expensive one they made it out to be an awesome projector but from this to the xgimi I love the picture quality and sound on the xgimi projector this nebula was a waist of money but since I only paid half of it I guess I’ll keep it just to remind me not to go by other reviews but to go with my guts and go by what I have seen with my own eyes

Finally a Nebula Projector that didn't break. I love this one.
I'd recommend this to anyone over a traditional television. I use this on my white painted wall and every night feels like a theater visit, with popcorn in hand.

A decent projector. I wouldn’t say it’s worth paying full price but if you can catch it on a crazy deal then pull the trigger. Wi-Fi cuts in and it auto focus’ a couple of times durning movie watching and that can be annoying. The UI is decent but the lack of native 1080p Netflix was almost a deal breaker for me. Although you can side load Netflix through the nebula app it only plays in 480p and looks like rubbish. I bought a fire tv stick to slice this problem but that added $70 to my total cost. It gets plenty bright for moderate to complete dark rooms and colours a fairly accurate. Keeping in mind this isn’t the highest of end projectors it gets the job done. I’d give it 3.5 outta 5 stars
